Is the battery replaceable ? If yes, what size battery does it require ?

Hi - Yes, the battery is replaceable. It's a 9-volt battery. But in my opinion, the Zircon Leak Alert alarm is better than the Honeywell. The Zircon has sensors that lie flat on the floor, as opposed to the Honeywell, which has sensors that are raised slightly above the floor. In fact, I tested the 2 alarms side-by-side and found that the Zircon's response time is faster than Honeywell's. (The Zircon also uses a 9-volt battery).

Is it water proof? Meaning if it is submerged in several inches of water can it be reused?

I'm not sure if that would ruin it or not. I didn't submerge mine, just set it in shallow water to make sure it would beep.

How long battery last?

The Honeywell Home RWD21 Water Leak Alarm requires a 9-volt battery and has a standby current of 5 to 10 uA. The alarm sounds for up to 24 hours (dependent upon battery life) when water is detected. Hope this helps!
