Do I need to connect the dash cam everytime? Can I use CarPlay/Bluetooth as usual?

You don't need to keep camera connected as it will auto-record after car starts. You only need to connect the camera in the need of viewing or downloading video. No affect the normal use of CarPlay or Bluetooth

Where is the video stored? Can I view video anytime i want?

The video is auto-saved in SD card, not phone. 1. Only if you've downloaded footage to your phone in advance, you can watch it even off the car or remotely. 2. You can also watch it on computer by intserting SD card

With front 4k camera installed, can I add a rear cam separately?

NO, because the PCB boards are different between single front and dual version.

Is the dash cam featured with Parking Sensor? And is it 24h recording?

Not all FlTCAMX dash cams has parking sensor, you need extra harness to upgrade with this function. And there are 24h and non-24h recording option, please confirm with FlTCAMX for more details.

Why dash cam gets hot?

It's normal situation but no worry. 1. The surrounding space of camera is small, and the original parts nearby will cause high temperature. 2.The camera is under windshield which is in direct sunlight by day.

Easy to install, discreet and clear recordings

Installation is indeed as easy as they mention on the video (for the front camera), anyone can do this, and the camera works well. If you want to install the rear one without dangling cables, there is a bit of work to be done, and needs some DIY skills. The only thing I find a disavantage is that the camera doesn't have a button that allows you to permanently store a captured event if you don't have the app running. So you need to stop, open the app, find the event on the sd disk, and save it, otherwise it will be overwritten over time.

Two Weeks Installed... Happy So Far

Wasn't sure about buying the Fitcamx dashcam for Defender. So few reviews but I took a chance on it. I also bought the polarized lens for the front cam. Here is my honest review of the dashcam system.The Good- Front cam is super easy to connect and install with just the pry tool in the box.- Video clarity (see attached photos) is very good. No pixelation at all- It looks OEM.- Comes with a usb dongle to xfer the videos to your computer or use the phone app to download.The Bad- Fishing the cable to the rear cam from the front cam. Get https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G9FNTLB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details to help with that- The vents on the camera enclosure are not an exact match to the original. If you are nitpicky this may bother you. Frankly it hasn't been an issue for me.The Ugly- It is difficult getting the microSD card in and out of the front camera. It doesn't seat properly and I have to spend a few minutes each time to get it to stay. This needs to be addressed by the company or further issues will develop with time.

Easy to install in just a couple minutes

I’m not handy but set this up in 5 mins.Comes with the tool to pop old one off. Very easy.Hardest part was disconnecting the existing wire because it’s locked in with a pin. Use a paper clip or something to push the locking pin in and then it comes out easily. It setup to the WiFi app on my phone first try no issues. Very happy with this purchase - exceeded my expectations.

A nice way to add a dash cam to my Defender. Quick and easy to install. Very ‘stealth’ looking; most people don’t know that it’s there.Video quality is great. Interface via a mobile device is easy.I’ve had better dash cams with more features, however I traded those off for the clean look of this install.
