Fitbit Alta Fitness Wrist Band

Bought this for my wife to replace an Alta she had for years but it died. Go another one because she has fancy bracelet looking bands for the Alta. The new in worked for 10 months then the screen stopped working. It was still sync but not show the time or anything in the display. The display only works after pressing the reset button on the USB charging dongle. It will work for about 50 seconds. It also no longer counts steps. Stuck at zero no matter how much you walk. I’m done buying Fitbit junk. My Fitbit charge display also stopped working when I forgot my charger and went on a business trip and the battery died. Now it only shows the battery charge level and won’t sync.

I’ve ordered 4 Alta Fitbit products in the past. This fourth item didn’t charge correctly and the charger broke. I have always been very happy with the past Alta Fitbit’s I’ve ordered but this item was so defective. The battery icon was coming up error then it would read that it was full. I would put it on and then it wouldn’t read anything. I tried restarting several times and it just was not syncing correctly. Very disappointed.

i first ordered this fitbit and it came with a broken charger. i was able to return it and purchased another one. Now this one has stopped working after a month and half. just beyond the 30 days that you have to return the item. I cannot give negative stars so I put in only 1. i don't know what has happened to fit bit but their quality has gone down. i have to recommend that you buy another product.

Overall this had potential. It was bought for my mother. She is in her 70s. She found it very difficult to push the metal tabs from one of the wrist straps into the holes of the other. She assumed they would loosen from wear, but after a few weeks it was still near impossible. I assume they want you to wear it all the time, so they made it hard to keep it on through sleep, etc. It is kind of like a home detention monitoring device ;) I'm sure they get a higher price for selling our life patterns to marketing companies if this includes sleep history. You can target those with sleep problems with pill and cpap ads ;) Too bad, she had tried several cheaper ones that didn't hold up. If any finds a decent watch with a pedometer built-in reply to this comment.

I just bought this one to replace my alta hr. I received it Wednesday took 12 times to sync with my phone. Then charged it over night, took it off charger next morning at 645am. By 900pm it told me I had 25% and needed to charge it. I thought this wad a new Fitbit. They never seem to hold a charge or last a year anymore. Im hoping when I charge it tonight it might last more than a day hopefully it was a fluke but if not I'll be returning this one with the band's.
