CallawayGolf 300 Pro Laser Rangefinder

My golfer husband is the recipient of this gift for Christmas '24. I thought that this gift was going to replace his very old, well used, small Garmin device that needed rechargeable batteries to use, that I'd bought him many years ago (which he was still using while learning how to use this new Callaway laser rangefinder device until yesterday, 5/22/25.) He was elated to receive it last Christmas and the set of additional batteries I'd bought for him. He tried using it over the last several months but said that the distance was different than the Garmin. He said that the Callaway device was heavier than his Garmin, but he would say that he would keep working with it. (He had both shoulders repaired within a year's time; reverse shoulder on one & a revised rotator cuff on the other, so lifting & weighty things are always going to be an issue for him now. These are just toys from my estimation, but he takes his golf very serious! He was so thrilled to be healed enough in between surgeries when his doctor said he was OK to play again last year, but in a month or two he had the other surgery and had to heal from that and continue PT all over. He’s been playing again for about a month now. Yesterday while he was getting some club shafts replaced, he was waiting for them to be finished and eyeballed a small Bushnell Phantom Slope 3 GPS rangefinder and he bought it. He set it up with an app he downloaded from the app store. I guess it syncs with the phone app to display the course. He’s going to be using this now rather than the old Garmin to do check distance comparisons between it and the Callaway. Maybe I will be able to add more opinion later…

Having a finder with a build in slope compensation has been a game changer for me. I now strike the ball with more confidence than ever before and I believe my game has improved because of this product. It is easy to use and the vibration factor helps me be assured it is sighting on the correct area. The magnet works pretty well and the color helps keep it visible so I don't forget it. The only challenge is the battery plug which has very fine plastic threads and makes it a challenge to screw it in without stripping it.One suggestion: When I remove it from the case, I place the case inside my driver cover. That way I am sure to not forget it.

I bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. He says its easy to shoot your targets for yardage and it's very accurate. The slope helps as well

I got a used one last time when it was supposed to be new, it didn’t work. This is brand new and works GREAT! Pretty accurate on the course.

light, compact with a great magnet.Very acurate in normal and slope setting.My second one after i left my last one at a course,ONly one I will ever buy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:very good rangefinder for the money. easy to read. better than off brand cheaper rangefinders.

Excellent design. Easy to use and accurate.Long battery life. Magnet for attaching to cart is heavy duty. You have to really pull to get it off. Great product !
