Are other colors offered that are also temperature resistant?

None of them are temperature resistant. Mild heat was enough for it to fail.

will the hooks grab onto carpet ?

I used on my car because they advertised it was good up to 150 F. It was a mess I returned and got my money back also a few message asking me to change my review if I can get them a (-) 5 starts I will. No clue using it on a carpet but just go to Home Depot and get 3M tape those are more expensive but never fail. That what I did
