will the device work for 1080P output which is not 4k based?

My tv & projector are 1080 (no 4K at all) and this splitter works & looks good.

I need to hook up a sound bar and dvd player to my tv but only have 1 hdmi slot on the tv. Would this work for that?

No it won’t. My Blu-ray player does not work when it is passed through this splitter. Therefore I doubt that your DVD player would work but I can’t be 100% sure; it may depend on the make and model of the player. Besides, even if the DVD player worked right the sound would not be passed to the sound bar since only one of the devices hooked to this splitter can work at a time.

Are the ports compatible with hdmi arc ports?

This focuses on the visuals aspect so it does not have an HDMI ARC labeled slot and it is not mentioned in the manual.
