Update: it finally wore out... having said that, In November I. Ended up having l4/l5 fused.. source of my low back pain and instability in same.. here’s the funny part.. the dr had me “fitted” for a brace for post op.. $980 billed to my insurer and it was almost identical to this product! And if only lasted 3 months before cinch broke... I ended up using this brace and it finally failed today... So... take from this review whatever you like. This is an impressive piece and I’m reordering.. I’ll qualify my review by identifying myself as a chronic pain sufferer with 4 fused cervical, two partially collapsed vertebra in thoracic spine and degenerative disc disease.. I’m also active despite my hammered back. So I’ve tried tons of gadgets and wraps, belts etc. this simply rocks! I’ve literslly had to use 3 different belts to support my spine for awhile after last surgery, these hold and u can get quite a “bite” from these. Like an old corset I suppose. Id love it if I could find one wider to support more of the spine. As I write this I’ve just taken a break before hitting the road again on my Harley. 475 miles-1.5 days and still going... not possible without this stepped securely around my hips waist... long review but I wanted those of u that like me have spent so much money seeking a respite from the pain and loss of enjoyment doing simple things.. u know u r... this has been s blessing.. I’m going to order a couple spares just in case.

I PLAY GOLF 4 TIMES A WEEK. PULLED A MUSCLE RIGHT SIDE & COULDN'T PLAY. PUT THIS BRACE ON HIT SOME BALLS & FOUND IT SUPPORTED MY LOW BACK WHILE NOT IMPACTING MY SWING. PLAYED A ROUND WITH NO PAIN. 2ND ROUND I PLAYED I SHOT 77 - 2 STROKES BELOW MY 79 YEARS. I HAVE NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE, BUT THE CONFIDENCE THIS BRACE GAVE ME KEPT ME SWINGING WELL THROUGH THE ENTIRE 18 HOLES. I HAVE HAD OTHER BRACES BUT NONE COMPARE TO THIS ONE

I was suffering extreme lower back pain. It seemed to be getting worse over a course of 2 months. I used this and found relief in 3 days!I wear it everyday! I have even slept with it on during the first couple days as it provided so much relief. My wife noticed how I went from needing help getting off the chair for the past couple months to running around cashing our dog. She asked if she could try it for a day even though she has no back issues after ten minutes she looked at me and called me a D$&@! Needless to say I ordered her one too. She said it provided her so much relief when sitting at her desk. I also ordered a 3rd one for her sister as a gift.I have tried other styles but this is a game changer!

I ordered the belt and wanted the one that is pictured because it is a good belt. But instead I received the cheaply made "newer" design with the rectangular plastic cover over the cinch pulleys. And a single pull strap that controls both the upper and lower cinch at the same time. That version is a horrible cheap belt. The rectangular plastic digs into your back like a knife. The belt as pictured is a 2 strap cinch design and is a decent belt. Buyer beware! Look on Brace-ability's website first. They have different style belts with the same part number! I ordered the above $60 belt and got the crap $25 belt! I strapped it on- the rectangular plastic dug like a knife into my back. Back it went the same day. Called Braceability to complain and like usual, customer service there was dumbfounded. Didn't offer me much help at all. Manufacturer Part number issue is not fixed and you'll get the crap belt instead of the good one as pictured here.

I have 3 degenerated disks in my lower back and for years wore prescription back braces in order to manage downhill skiing, snowshoeing, white water rafting and kayaking. When my doctor decided not to write me a script for a replacement brace, I found this one, which generally "matches" that which I'd been getting through my insurance. The only difference - and not a great one for me but might be for others is the rigid hard plastic pieces on either side of the belt as it lays against the spine. I still manage to be fairly comfortable when wearing the brace in my kayak, but I don't think I would want to spend hours in it skiing (something which I've long stopped doing anyway) or snowshoeing - the hard plastic sort of digs into the flesh near the spine.

Very adjustable, wrap around waist, secure with provided velcro and then pull on small handle that tighten the back cords until back feels supported and pain is relieved. Can wear under a loose shirt. Son in law had painful muscles spasms after cleaning out garage all day, I put my back support brace on him, fits his larger tummy also and then pulled the handle on the front and he said wow all my pain is gone, he ordered one from Amazon right away for overnight delivery. I recommend for muscle tightness and spams, not a cure. Supports very well and adjustable.
