Merino Wool Blanket in Ivory Colour in Twin Size, 66" x 90"

I purchased the queen/full and have enjoyed the warm snuggly goodness since the night it arrived at my front door two weeks ago. The common complaint about this blanket (sheds too much, smells) I encountered right away. There is however a simple remedy for the above problems:First: Wash the offending blanket on the gentle cycle with Woolite and put copious amounts of white vinegar in the rinse cycle. Wash it not once, but TWICE with white vinegar in the rinse cycle both times. With the 2nd washing, do an additional extra rinse and extra spin to get it as bone dry as possible.Second: Put it in the dryer with a couple of dryer sheets on the delicate cycle for 20 minutes. Check dryness, if not dry enough, do additional dryings at 10 minute increments, checking each time.Huzzah! Not only warm and soft, but less fluff and no more offending odor.Countary to what people may think, wool can be washed at home in the washing machine, you just have to proceed with caution. Nice quality blanket at an excellent price.

Warm, soft and lightweight. I like the edges with the satin binding. It kept us warm without the old wool blanket weight.My blanket came right out of the package fresh smelling. Some reviews said it smelled. Mine did not.Wash on delicate cold with woolite and low tumble dry. Came out great. In fact I'm going to order another one for our RV.

Was very excited to finally receive the 100% Merino Wool blankets I ordered. Opened the packages. The satin edging is nice, the wool extremely soft. Then it hit me. The odor emanating from the blankets made me ill. It smells like heavy motor oil. I looked at the package and now I know why. This product didn't originate in Canada. The blankets were made in China, shipped to Highland Feather in Canada, and then sold to the consumer. They're going back.

I so looked forward to the delivery of this merino wool blanket. Many years ago I had a wool blanket and absolutely loved it. Not this one!! Very disappointed!! It sheds and it sheds and it sheds!! The wool balls are on the floor, on my pajamas, and all over the blanket. Very expensive to be so offensive!

This is a very nice blanket and it is very warm. It is not overly hot on those not so cold nights. My only complaint is that the blanket is shedding very badly. I hope this is just because it is new.

This blanket is wonderful! It's incredibly thick and warm and very pretty with the lining. Wish I'd had it years ago on freezing nights in the Midwest. Oh well, just grateful I have it now!! Well worth the price. (Note: When it arrived, it had a strong chemical smell, maybe from the plastic packaging. I had it dry cleaned and aired it out for a few days after that and the smell disappeared.)

The blanket was everything that I expected. It's exactly as advertised. What more can you ask for? Is it soft as synthetic? Nope it's wool. Wool is a little rough but under sheets, its as soft as your sheets. It's as thick as all other wool blankets I remember as a kid in the 50s and 60s. It's warm like only wool can be but it breaths like only natural fibers can, so I've not overheated with it. So, if you've worn wool and like it or have had a wool blanket before and liked it then this is a blanket that will satisfy.

This product arrived 1 day earlier than promised. It is exactly as the description provided including the colour.(one reviewer mentioned that theirs was more of a grey shade.) It is soft and warm with extra length to tuck in at the end of the mattress.

I’ve developed a love/hate relationship with this blanket. Honestly Its exceptionally warm, i took this with me to a cabin with no heat, temperatures were just below zero. i had 2 layers of wool clothing and this blanket folded in 2 (bought the king size so its still 55” wide folded) and i felt warm and comfortable all night long. It is very soft aswell. Feels very nice.However this thing sheds wool like nobodies business. Every morning when i wake up i need to spend about 5-10 minutes cleaning off/picking up a TON of wool fluff that is left behind on my clothes, couch or bed. Its nuts. Not machine washable so I can’t try that. Not sure if dry cleaning can help with that or not.Super duper warm and comfortable though. Can never go back to a time when i didnt own a thick Merino wool blanket again. Maybe next time ill spend more to avoid the mess.
