Wasn't Expecting Much.
I purchased this mask for a Halloween costume. I didn't need anything over the top. My costume is simply, "Retired Batman." As long as I had a cowl to go with my golfing attire, I was satisfied. To my surprise, the mask was well beyond anything I was expecting. I was expecting a flimsy material. A thin latex with floppy ears and an overly shiny finish. I realize the picture and the actual product never match 9.5 times out of 10. This is that rare .5 where what I see is actually what I got. The mask is a flat black. No shine, no gloss. It's heavy, and resembles more of a hard material like in the films than it does a latex rubber mask. The mask is very sturdy. The ears stand upright, however I did need to stuff them with toilet paper just to shapen them up. I assure you this was just me being picky, and stuffing the ears wasn't really a requirement. Of course, this doesn't mean it is without it's faults. One eye hole is slightly bigger and there is a small dent in the nose. The eye hole is not a problem once I paint black around my eyes, as it's no longer noticeable. The dent in the nose is only noticeable if you're looking for it. There are two velcro strips on the back. One strip is almost ready to fall off. This actually isn't a concern as I plan on either moving it to a different spot to make the mask even tighter(it's tight as is) or removing the velcro and adding a zipper to it. There are better masks/cowls out there. Generally they run in the $250 range. If you are a serious Cosplayer, I would either invest in a different cowl or create a custom one which matches your head. However with a few tweaks like adding a zipper to the back, this mask could make a very good first time Cosplayer Bat-Cowl, for very cheap.

Please don't ...
This mask is horrible. it look like Batman was watching a movie about a girl coming out of a well. Either that or they thought I ordered a mask of deformed latex man. The mask is really tight an uncomfortable to wear. Feels too small to be an adult size mask. If it was bigger and not so deformed it probably would have been a really good mask.

I'm Batman
Well not really, but I do have a Batman mask. This batman mask was purchased as a gag, and I was actually surprised at the quality. The picture of the mask is as it shows. It's a really nice looking mask. The mask fastens with two velcro strips on the back of the mask. One on the lower portion of the head, and another on the neck. It likes to form in a way it sits, so be warned. Stuff the mask with a towel or get a mannequin head. I just stuff mine with a towel, and have it on my shelf now. It fits nice, and snug on the face. Not too loose, and not too tight. No bubbles or dips in the finish of the mask. Great quality for the price. Edit: (July 25, 2014) It's nearly been two years since, I purchased this mask, and it's barley starting to get loose around the lower lip, and upper chin area. Mostly due to taking it off, and on. I still recommend this mask for the price.

For a once a year thing, this mask works great, however, it comes with noticable "oopsies"
I wanted to get a actual Batman Cowl I could wear at work and create a laugh for the customers. For being around 30 bucks, it did a pretty good job. When I put makeup on and such, put on a cape, used the nolan batman voice, it looked and sounded good. However, I do not recommend this for someone who has a really large head (Especially if you are quite overweight, and have a fat face.) Reason I say this is when you attach it in the back, it squeezes your face, and your cheeks. I wore this for probably about 4 hours. And let me tell you, just a hour of wearing this, I was dying to take it off. My ears hurt, and I sweat a lot in it (It all drained to the nose piece.) This mask is more meant for a large head, if your not fat (Unless there isn't much fat on your face and neck). It fit almost right on me. Its just not comfortable to wear longer then a half hour, unless you have a slightly smaller head, then at least it won't be so tight and uncomfortable. Now the GOOFS of the mask. - One eye hole is clearly bigger then the other - The mouth hole part is noticably uneven. By this I mean it looks 1.5 inches on one side, and 1 inch on the other side of the nose - Due to how its shipped, some parts of the rubber may curl inwards, or take a shape you can't fix without doing lot of heavy tweaking. For me a corner of a eye hole curled inwards, and it was noticeable, and it scraped on your eyebrow. It was annoying. I recommend you fill the mask with tissue or paper, so it doesn't lay squished. -The trimming on the eye hole and mouth hole was pretty sloppy, I had to use a razer blade and evenly trim the edges. It looked like it was rushed. Be careful though, with one eye hole bigger then the other, it can make it look even more weird if you cut too much off by mistake. - The Velcrow may need some additional glue. parts of mine weren't.. Also, you may have to stuff the ears with tissue, so they stay in shape. Easy enough. Its also not shaped like the picture, the bottom portion that would go under your clothes (Recommended), there isn't as much show in the picture. Its pretty much just the neck park. Doesn't go much farther then that. The back piece goes farther back some like a V. All in all, Its a pretty good mask for the price. Its not perfect, but its pretty damn decent. When I had everything on, I looked just like batman. Pretty awesome. Just remember not to wear it for long periods. Actually wish there were vents in this, so it can breath. However if your looking for a perfect mask, this isn't quite it. There are visible mistakes, some fixable, some not.

For large heads only
For a full head mask, this rubber mask beats out cheaper kids' masks or drawstring cloth ones, but it won't look as good as the photos imply when you get it. The seller I bought it from sent it loose in an unpadded envelope and the nose was as bent as any badly-beaten boxer. The ears also were a bit flattened and unfortunately, the rubber is rather insistent on maintaining these deformities once they are applied. Also, it is very roomy, even when the velcro tabs in the back are fastened. I am not exactly a pinhead (hat size 7 ¼) but I apparently have a tiny enough noggin that it soon became clear that this "one size" mask was not meant to encompass all sizes and shapes of head/face combos. It was both too tall and too wide for me. I ended up having to rip the velco off, cut an inch and a half of rubber off and sew the velcro back on, but while that fixed the loose fit, it also created a noticeable "poofing out" of the now extra rubber on top of the mask that I will have to figure out how to flatten out with as little further damage to the material as possible. I also had to cut out some cardboard inserts to place in the ears and nose and stuff the ears with something to fill them out (I will have to stuff the nose with something too, as my nose is also apparently on the small side) to hopefully persuade the rubber to get back to the more desirable, original shape. I may have to apply some hair dryer heat to it while the forms are in. So, overall as good a mask as you can expect for the price, but the fit will vary from perfect to useless, depending on your individual body shape and willingness to put in extra work to alter the fit.

A great mask to complete your Batman costume!
இ ԲμⓏʐᎽ ധƱஉẔყ Rating: ѾѾѾѾѾ Highly recommended with warm fuzzies! I purchased this latex mask in 2010 to replace the mask that came with the The Dark Knight Batman Deluxe Muscle Chest Costume . Both that costume and this latex mask are made by Rubie's. But the head mask that came with the costume looked really cheesy and cheap, whereas this latex mask looks far more authentically like Batman. As with any face mask, you may need to make some minor adjustments to the eye holes and nose to fit your particular face. I stuffed some foam into the ears to help them keep their shape. Wearing this mask will totally cover your ears, so your hearing will be muffled, although you will be able to hear most sounds and carry on conversations with people. Because this mask is made of thick latex, it will feel very warm if you wear it for many hours, especially if you are moving around a lot or dancing in your Batman costume. But it does not feel as warm if you are just walking around outside on a chilly night. This is the best Batman mask on the market. Highly recommended!

Only good as a display piece
Its nice, but it tears easy especially in the back after you put it on. Its too small for an adult to wear. Nose holes are too small, and it's hard to breathe in. Its tight around the head, and now since the back is torn from two times of wearing it for no longer than ten minutes I'm just using it as a display piece because it looks nice, and that's the only real upside.

Just as the Dark Knight!!!
WHOA!!! this is THE BEST batman mask i've ever had... Great addition for your "deluxe" Dark Knight costume (the mask that it came with it just looks stupid!) so about this new mask, some people complained about these things, so here's my opinion: ears.- this mask came with sturdy ears and they doesn't need to put anything to keep them straight nose.- it has 2 holes so you can breath, it's a mask!!! you just know for sure you won't breath as normal!!! hearing.- it doesn't block sound too much as some people described. size.- this may be the only issue some people may have, I always have problems with hats because i have a large head and what a surprise!!! it fits PERFECT!!! so people with small head or teens must fill it up a bit. the velcro behind it's a HUGE addition because taking latex masks off it's a PITA due normal sweat, but these velcros allow the mask to loose it faster. it's an official licenced product made by Rubies, make sure this legend has been engraved right next to the larger velcro... so, THANKS RUBIES you just made my halloween happier!!!
