Pay attention to all of the measurements when purchasing adapters - this one was perfect
I'm fairly new to astrophotography, and have had to make several purchases of adapter rings and adapters with problems coming up with the wrong thread or wrong size of the thread. Astronmania is awesome for providing details like M42X0.75 T with their descriptions which is precisely what I needed. Some other vendors do not provide the additional thread details which has been a problem in the past.

Plain but functional
This was just what I needed to attach a Svbony field flattener to a M4/3 camera adapter. It’s not of the same quality as a part from Astro-Physics, but it’s certainly good enough for my purposes.

One of three pieces to connect 2" lens/filter into T2 train
Used Alstar M42X0.75 Female to M42X0.75 Female (B074J1QS85), M48 to M42 T2 Adapter (B0C47P799G), and Astromania M48X0.75 (2" Filter) Female to M42X0.75 T / T2 Male (B01DIRJ72I) to connect a 2-inch item into a T2 pipeline.

Great adapter
Received adapter that is pictured.Quality adapter at a fair price compared to others on the market. Nice finish and the .75 thread pitch works perfect with my other adapters which are different brand. This adapter will add 7.5mm of back spacing to your optical path in your imaging train. The M48 female side is about 6.3mm deep. (wasn’t easy to measure, so might be a little off, but very close). The M42 male side was about 4mm of thread.Hope this is helpful.

Threads aren't correct
The first one that I ordered a year ago fit my Player1 Neptune camera threads perfectly. The one that I ordered this week doesn't fit the threads. Seems like Astromania has poor quality control. Will return this one and go with the more expensive ZWO adapter.

Spacing
My adapter looks like the one in the pictures, but others seem to have received one that looks different. The item description says 2mm for the optical length, but that's not correct - for the one I was sent anyway.I'll reinforce what Melody said earlier...it's going to add about seven and a half mm to your train. The adapter itself is five-star, but one star off for misleading potential customers about the length it adds.

The nice thing about standards...
The nice thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from. Every camera and every telescope or lens has a standard fixture on it. All you have to do to interconnect cameras and telescopes is figure out the myriad connectors (sometimes with multiple labels) and track down the appropriate adapter. This is the one to have to connect a 48x0.75 mm male thread on a lens to a 42x0.75 mm female thread on a camera. It’s perfect! (Is a 42x0.75 mm the same as a T2? How about a 2 inch filter thread? You could make a career out of this.)
