Beats $40+ filter from “Big Name”.
I have one of those odd size 6 gallon tanks. My wife houses her Betta, plants & Neocardinia shrimp. I’ve tried numerous different filters to get the correct flow setting and this one for $10 solved the issue. Using it completely submerged with the airflow tubing has also helped introduce enough air into the system I finally have my Co2 dialed in properly and no longer need an air stone running in the evening. Definitely considering trying more of what this manufacture has to offer as affordable solutions.Submerged option is pretty close to silent.

Fits nano tanks , lots of flow might be too much for some tanks/fish
Great little filter, small footprint in a nano sized tank , too much flow for my current tank but will save and use for next tank build . Im sure filling the filter area up with filter floss or similar would slow flow/add better filtration.

Works great for the price....but
I bought this for a 10 gallon saltwater quarantine tank and it seems to serve that purpose well....but, the filter media is very small and requires cleaning or replacement often. For me it's 2 or 3 times a week to keep the tank water clear and clean. If you had this in a 10 gallon display tank, I think you would get tired of working on the filter so often. I only set the quarantine tank up when I plan to get new fish so not a big deal for me. I have considered buying a second one to have on hand just in case something goes wrong. The filter is quiet, plug in and go, moves a lot of water, and does a good job of keeping my quarantine tank water clear and clean with some regular attention. Some people say that it is too powerful and blows their fish around the tank. I think that depends on how it is set up and oriented in the tank and if you are looking to mimic a calm river pool or a coral reef with constant ocean waves moving the water. I would buy this again for the purpose it serves.4 stars only because of the need to clean the filter often being so small. I would buy this again if it lasts a while. Exceptional for the price.

Better than expected
The media could not be loaded. I got these to use temporarily in some 5.5 gallon tanks. I was pretty surprised at the amount of flow they have, even placed or the short side of the tank everything has good movement. For as cheap as they are they seem to be well made, and even included an extra impeller, as well as several options for setting up the outlet, I opted for the flow bar. This little unit cleared silt from a new tank quickly, in about 24 hours, and is still running strong and the water is really clear. There is no noise that I can hear, but YMMV because I don't have the best hearing, though definitely quieter than my most silent air pumps. Super easy to install, I haven't tried cleaning the filters yet but the bottom case below the pump comes off and it looks fairly easy. The filters are small, but this whole unit isn't much larger than a small sponge filter, volume wise probably about the same, but with actual flow. I would definitely buy these again if I needed them, and I bought a backup set of filter media for future use since these don't have a permanent home right now. The spray bar can be positioned in any direction, I have it pointed slightly towards the surface to break up any biofilm, if I had floaters I'd have to change that but I'm not growing any in this plant nursery tanks.

good as a supplement for a larger tank, but not meant for smaller tanks
Does what I need it to do. The instructions for attaching the hose option instead of the rain option are so unclear because it's just a couple pictures so I have only tried the rain option. The force of the water coming out is also a bit stronger than what I want and I can't see a way to adjust the power. I'm currently using it in a small 6 gallon tank, but it might be better suited for a 10 gallon or higher. I have to position the rain tube pretty high out of the water to prevent too much water movement, but as it is currently, it's creating a lot of bubbles so I don't need an air stone in the tank, so that's nice. It's also pretty noisy, unfortunately.Overall, I suggest using a larger tank and fully submerse the pump in water to dampen the noise, even if you are using the rain option. It's good for the price if you can stand the volume of the pump itself.

Poor quality!
The NICREW Aquarium Internal Filter may seem like an affordable option for small tanks, but it has several significant drawbacks that potential buyers should consider. One major issue is its excessive power for smaller aquariums; users have reported that the strong water flow creates a current too intense for delicate fish and plants, with limited options to adjust the flow rate. Additionally, the filter tends to clog quickly, necessitating frequent cleaning every few days, and in some cases, it has stopped working entirely after a short period of use. Noise is another concern, as some users have found the filter to be loud, with the motor becoming increasingly noisy over time. Moreover, there are reports of small fish being sucked into the filter due to uncovered intake holes, leading to unfortunate losses. Considering these issues, the NICREW Aquarium Internal Filter may not be your aquarium's most reliable or fish-friendly choice.

Works great
It came super fast earlier than expected was kinda confusing for me to put together but that's cause I over think things lol but now it's easy to put together and easy to clean. Make sure it's submerged fully and leave off for at least a minute before turning in on.

Works great!
I love it! It is pretty strong. I put it on a 20g long aquarium that has a sponge filter to clear out some tannins. I filled it with purigen and filter floss and my tank was much clearer by the next day and crystal clear by by day 4.
