OneTigris Tactical Dog Harness - Fire Watcher Comfortable Patrol Vest (Coyote Brown, Large)

Bought this harness for my wife's service dog for 5 days of hiking across Utah's National Parks. This review is following approximately 20 hrs of trail hiking (uphill/downhill/uneven terrain), with 5 total molly pouches attached carrying 2 liters of water, dog food/snacks, bowl, and a first aid kit. Fit-wise: Our dog is a 45lb, medium size, boxer/shepherd mutt. The Medium sized harness fit fine in both the chest and stomach area. I've had problems in the past with harnesses where the chest portion fit fine, but it was too loose around her much smaller belly area. This becomes a problem if you actually have pouches on a harness that are even slightly uneven in weight, which causes the harness to drastically slide over one side of a pups body within minutes of a walk. Specifically this harness was pretty good in making sure her weighted vest stay relatively even on her back on level terrain (it can be tightened pretty good, and the middle chest 'Y' helped), and only required occasional manual readjustment. When going downhill, if it was especially steep, the harness slid forward as can be expected, but nothing catastrophic and was eaily pulled off the back of her neck with a leash tug. Also, after all the hours of hiking, there was no fur bald spots or red skin anywhere indicating any chafing so that was good to see also. Harness Construction: There were more than a few hiking spots where I used the harness' handle to physically haul her up to a place she couldn't reach on her own, and it was pretty sturdy (45lb dog + 10 lbs gear). Also, this harness was getting scraped through underbrush, against rock faces, and a couple river crossings with no noticable failure or problems, so no complaints there either. On each side of the harness are 4 molly slots for gear configuration which pretty much rules out any molly gear that takes up 3 slots as it limits you to only using 1 of those on each side without having to resort to some janky solution. Ultimately, I found my best setup was two Fitackle 8.7" x 4.9" molle pouches on each side (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074DQHYR4/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_2), and a medical 'rip-away' Molle first aid kit ontop/across her back (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QM3VBB/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_8). FYI: A first aid kit on a dog should be rip away so you're not trying to hold a dog still while trying to get at medical supplies. Each of the molle pouches I listed is large enough to hold a 1L Nalgene bottle, so the dog could carry 4 liters of water itself (10 lbs water + pouches) , but for anyone reading these: your dog shouldn't carry more than 1/3 of it's body weight (and it should be carried across the shoulders, not the middle groove of the back, which this harness did a good job of also). Overall, I was pretty pleased with the performance of the vest, and my only recommendations would be to lengthen it *just* enough to make it 5 molly slots wide on each side so you can use a wider configuration of molly pouches/accessories, and include a trio of 1" squares of reflective velcro patches (that can go on the chest 'Y' and each side of the harness) so you can walk your dog in this harness at night (let's be honest, we're not SF operators, and actually want our dogs to be seen so they're not hit by cars and we can find them roaming about in bushes). *Note: I'll add some photos when I can.

Really nice harness! Exactly what we were looking for our baby girl. She's currently attending training school and will need to get used to wearing her vest. The size was true and fits perfectly on her. Can't wait to see her with her badges.

This is a great harness. Sturdy and the material is strong. My dog is small but no harness would hold him because he likes to pull and run, and this one is strong enough to hold him. My dog weighs 15 lbs. I ordered XS and it fits him perfectly no adjustment and still have room. If you order it you won't regret it.

My Shepherd is 13weeks old and weighs15 lbs. i bought the small. Right now it is set as tight as the straps can go around her belly area and it is perfect. Plenty of room to grow into it. I desensitized her by giving her some treats. The pictures are taken 10minutes after she had it on and she fell asleep. We actually just took her for a walk with it and it worked great! Would recommend this product for sure.

So my big boy just turned 1 and he been using this harness since I got him at 6 months old, he a Deerhead Chihuahua and at first the XS ran a little big for him but he grew into it and it fits him like it was taylored for him. Pros: 1. Easy to adjust 2. Quality material 3. Easy cleaning 4. Very comfortable for him to wear most of the day. 5. Easy to take off and put on 6. Great value for the money Cons: None Also love the patch area, we rotate patches on and off his vest with ease, haven't loss one yet. This is a great brand and have bought multiple for gifts for friends and family for their pets. My little Deerhead Chihuahua is a baby fur missile and loves to run and play with big dogs so if I have to grab him when an aggressive dog comes into our area the handle on the harness makes for an easy snatche and grab.

Most important review is Our dog is 8-9lbs and I got the XXS size. It is adjustable bigger or smaller and that is good. Fits him well and is made well. It's comfortable for him but does take a little longer to get on than his last harness. I will be adding a tiny molle pouch for his business bags too. Really nice harness and we got OD green. Functionality is great with some attachment points, velcro, and great tactical looks (even for a small dog). At less than 25 dollars it's a great value too.

Great product, appears comfortable to dog with good adjustments and reasonably durable construction for price range. Four buckle design makes it easy to put on and take off a willing dog. The straps are not chew proof and I have had challenges with this with one dog that does not understand buckles and thinks that to take the harness off must chew through the straps. The harness design works well for dogs that pull strong without pain or injury to dogs. I have two sled dogs that pull with great strength and try to bolt after rabbits occasionally, and the design of these harnesses are good at absorbing the shock to dog at end of leash range, much safer than using a leash to collar around neck. What would be really great is if OneTigris would offer replacements for the lower portion of the harness which is the part that dogs tend to chew apart (they cannot really reach the upper harness for chewing).

Sizing was a little bit difficult as my dog was right between sizes, that aside the quality is great and light on my husky. The clips are good heavy quality and so far nothing has caused me any concern even with my husky testing its limits

O produto é de excelente qualidade com material de primeira. Acabamento perfeito e resistente. No meu caso em que o Thor tem o hábito de puxar, com o colete ficou muito mais fácil ter o controle dele, mantendo-o ao lado durante a caminhada. É extramamente confortável e ajustável. Não impede os movimentos e nem causa incomodo. Em poucos minutos de uso o dog já se habitua. Comprei também as bolsas laterais o que proporciona praticidade para levar tanto os pertences do Thor como os meus. Super Satisfeito com o produto. O vendedor super atencioso e prestativo.
