Thousand Island Dressing

I've used Walden Farm products for a lot of years now. They are a godsend because their products have "legit" taste without all the sugar and carbs. The thousand island dressing is no exception. Nice creamy thousand-island-y taste. Maybe slightly on the runny side, but that's ok with me.

I love this dressing. Will definitely keep using it.

I love Walden Farm's. I've tried variety of their flavors, but among them, this flavor has to be one of the best ones! Crazy part of it is the fact that it has very low sugar and carb contents. I'm sure that it's not totally kcal free, as the FDA allows the companies under 5 kcal to be labeled as 0 kcal. Nevertheless, you know it still has lower sugar content than the most dressings out there, as I've tried them and compared their sweetness personally. I don't find these too sweet, which is perfect for my taste, where I like my foods to be moderately sweet enough to enjoy.

I am very pleased with this salad dressing. It has a excellent flavor and no calories. You need to shake it well but it clings to the lettuce well. I've found I do not need to use a much as regular dressing because the flavor is stronger than other diet dressings. This is my go to flavor from this company. I've read other reviews where they stated it doesn't taste like French, but it really has an authentic French dressing flavor. Yes it cost more, but it lasts and saves you the calories.

I have a home-made six ounce salad twice a week for dinner and have for several years. The only dressing I use is 1000 Islands and then only Ken's 1000 Islands. In my opinion that is the best store bought version. I thought I would try to find one comparable, hopefully, to the dressings I've tasted at restaurants. I have had some fabulous restaurant versions that were deeply flavorful and very rich and creamy. Seeing this Walden Farms 1000 Islands I thought to try it epsecially with all the reviews. Last night I tried it and was deeply disppointed. It is very thin, nothing creamy about it. The overriding taste was slightly vinegary. It has none of the taste I've ever associated with any 1000 Islands dressing. In fact the only thing Walden 1000 Island dressing shared was the color. I tried to save my salad by dumping Ken's on top but it was a waste of time and I ended up tossing the salad. Yes, pun intended. I do not recommend this dressing or for that matter anything made by Walden Farms.

Do not buy if you love the authentic thousand island flavor. This is nothing in comparison to my baby heaven. I’ll give it some credits for having significantly less calories though.

I have recently lost 60 lbs with, basically, Keto type program and using Walden farms syrups, bottle and packet salad dressings, mayonaise, peanut butter as an assist. I have found the flavors of the salad dressings unbelievably close to the originals (the peanut butter...not so great), mayo--acceptable, and syrups just great with my protein rich pancakes. Thanks, Walden Farms, for helping me reach, at 84, the same weight I was when I left Paris Island boot camp in 1957. I plan to keep my Walden Farms assistants in my cupboard to help keep me going at 84 years old.
