The ONLY place I can find a key fob built into the key for my vehicle, a 2004 Ford F150 5.4L FX4, is here on Amazon. However, the local hardware stores, big box stores and locksmiths refuse to cut keys purchased on Amazon. It doesn’t matter if you absolve them from all liability and offer to pay handsomely for their cutting services – they just refuse to work with you! I resolved not to give up on getting these keys cut after speaking to a particularly rude & dismissive locksmith! Cutting keys is actually quite easy if you have access to a key cutting machine. I learned to use one at the age of 17 when I worked in the maintenance department of a hotel – it’s not rocket science by any means! So, I purchased this Anrain Duplicating Machine, which is similar to many cheaper cutting machines on Amazon (but looked to have a nicer lightbulb setup). Then I waited for it to arrive. I wasted no time in cutting these fob keys that had worked on my previous truck of the same make & model. The cutter worked flawlessly, and the keys fit just fine. However, much to my dismay, I couldn’t successfully program the keys to work with Ford’s SecuriLock system – the engine wouldn’t start. The process to program the security chip isn’t difficult and is readily available in the owner’s manual or online. Plus, I had successfully done it before. I don’t know why the fob keys I used before didn’t work this time, but I sent them back for a refund. Having already incurred the sunk cost of the key cutting machine, I decided to try a different set of fob keys; these fob keys in fact. I’m sure glad I did! These keys are superior to the previous keys I tried. Most importantly, they were easy to program and were completely compatible with Ford’s SecuriLock system. However, they are also longer than the original Ford key (and previous fob keys), so they don’t rub on the ignition despite being bulkier. I also prefer the tactile feel of the rubberized buttons on these fob keys. So, for about the cost of one key and (separate) fob from the dealer, I now own these two combination fob keys and a key cutting machine! Sweet, sweet success!

My keys work great. This choice was so worth it compared to the 200.00 the dealer was going to charge. My car is 11 years old, and the keys started giving out. Amazon, has you enter information about your car, and then it gives you a selection of keys, and will tell you this is the key that fits your car. I love that is was so easy, to follow the steps. I took the keys to the lock Smith who programs keys it took maybe 20 minutes, 10 minutes for each key and they work great. The keys were completely compatible, and functionable. No problems whatsoever. THANK YOU AMAZON, for selling these keys, and the key company for making a great key, with an affordable price!!

Perfect!! Still working g reat both remotes programmed perfectly. You will need to buy the device that helps you like your new keys to your vehicle. It took me a total of 45 minutes to do both keys.

Per the local locksmith hired to cut and program the keys this key will not work on 2011 Ford model F150. We texted with vendor and responded to their questions but they were non responsive to our answers. Note: our Locksmith advised that these keys would work on the 2010 model F150.

All in all I really like this. The programming was easy, and they work great. The range is only a few car lengths, which is why not 5 stars. I thought getting them cut was going to be an expensive issue, however, it turned out to be easy. Forget big box stores, their machines are intentionally designed to not hold aftermarket products. People here said ACE hardware was a nogo, however the one I went to had the manual key cutting machine. They didn't want to cut this. I explained that I will program, if they can cut to work the doors I am extremely happy, and if they can't they are not responsible. I will still pay the 4.50 for the service. I explained that I paid under 20 bucks here on Amazon for two. The dealer wants 78.00 each. I could be out 30 bucks trying to save 156.00. Give it a shot please. And they did. As assumed, the cut was correct. Since I had both original keys programming was as simple as insert one turn on and off, then the next original one, turn on and off, then the new one. On, off, and start. Both worked. Next was programming the remotes. Easy, however a step is easily left put. When you get into programming mode you have to program all remotes, even the old ones else only the remote your programming will work. All others won't. Click the key on off in the ignition 8 times rapidly, ending in the on state. The locks will cycle. Pick up each remote you will use and press lock unlock. Then turn the ignition off. Your done. Super easy, 10 minutes tops. If you only have one key you can use a free program called forscan, I have the program, and it is a great ODBII read write for ford's, I have not used it for thus function. I am going to try to use it to turn off the horn alarm function as I have triggered it and don't like looking like an 1d10t.
