Quality for your money!! Best Raincoat Ever!!!
Best Raincoat EVER! I am typically a small but ordered a medium (sized up per some reviews). The small would have fit but I think it would have been snug with a sweater layer underneath. The medium fits nice but still some room for the layer comfortably. This has a nice insulated liner. It's been raining here for two days and this jacket is amazing. Warm!! Waterproof!! Windproof!! It's a little pricey but you will get your money's worth from the coat. Don't hesitate, this coat is quality for your money!!

Perfect raincoat!
I absolutely love this Helly-Hansen Insulated Waterproof Coat! This coat is amazingly light weight, flattering and it keeps me warm without being too heavy! I did go up one size so I could wear a light jacket or a heavy sweater underneath. (Layers are the way to go when it's cold, wet and windy!) I got this coat in black and really like it - I just add a scarf around my neck and and am super comfortable even when the temperature drops down to the 32° F! The hood works well. I highly recommend this coat!

This long jacket is perfect
After reading the reviews I ordered a size XL as I usually would wear a L in a jacket or coat. The fit is very good except the sleeves are a bit too long. I turned up the cuff once and that fixed the length issue plus it didn't look odd as the inside is also black. I could also just leave the sleeve as is, it just makes the sleeve look a little puffy. This will be a perfect travel coat for colder rainy weather. It is very well made and the outer fabric is sturdy yet not heavy. I just wore it for a walk in 45 degree weather with a light merino turtle neck and a pullover insulating layer. I had to take the outer layer off and I was still way too warm with the turtle neck on. I was glad to find that out because my regular raincoat would work that way and I needed a coat for colder weather like below 40 degrees. With layering this will work well.

Almost perfect rain coat!
I’ve been eyeing this coat for years and decided to finally buy it. Very glad I did! I am a woman, 5’3” 215 lbs, and I normally buy a 2x. However, here I bought a 3x for a bit of room. I’m glad I did. It fits comfortably. It’s very rainy where I live. This coat is waterproof. The rain just sits on top of the coat instead of soaking through the fabric. As a 5’3” person, the coat goes to top of my knees, an ideal length for staying dry. The pockets are lined with a warm fabric, so you will be ok if you forget your gloves. There is also a hidden interior breast pocket. The lining of the coat is like a warmish fabric. You may want to layer with a sweater if you have freezing rain. You could get away with wearing it in the snow, maybe. The one thing I don’t like is the hood size. It’s too small. If you have voluminous hair or like to wear a beanie under your hood, it won’t fit well. There should be a larger space with an adjustable drawstring to accommodate different hairstyles/hats. Also, the hood’s brim doesn’t jut out far enough. So if it’s windy, rain will get on your forehead and hairline, causing you to feel drippy. When your head is cold/wet, it can be uncomfortable. To solve this, I wear a baseball cap under the hood, and it keeps my face dry. It’s not preferred as a baseball cap is a bit casual. Overall, excellent coat for rainy weather, but be aware of the hood limitations.

Great jacket!
Light weight lining, nice silhouette. I ordered a medium and it fits true to size. I wear a medium or a small but I want the flexibility to wear heavy sweaters if needed so I kept the medium. I wore it in Chicago for the weekend in 40 degree weather. No rain, but a little windy. It worked just fine with a medium weight sweater and jeans. It kept the wind at bay just fine. I’m hoping to wear it in Ireland later this year when the weather will be a bit warmer and likely some rain. Overall very happy with the jacket.

Truly waterproof
Wore this coat in all day rain no umbrella in London. Stayed dry and warm- and my hair dry all day. Great truly waterproof coat.

Knock off?
I am a small and I ordered a medium. Medium is also very small. Material is flimsy and the jacket look poorly made. Looks like a knock off. Not warm.

Zipper problem
I really wanted this jacket to be the one but it just isn’t. I’ll start with the positive. It is definitely waterproof. Kept me dry in 3 days of non-stop rain. It felt warm and comfortable and it was flattering. I ordered a size up, based on reviews and I thought that was a good fit. I liked the length of it - definitely warmer and kept me drier than a shorter coat. Now for the con, the reason I can’t give a good review, and the reason I returned the coat. The zipper kept unzipping from the bottom. Anytime I zipped it, it just kept unzipping. Super disappointing because otherwise it’s a great coat. On the plus side, the return was seemless.
