Sensitive Skin Savior: A Game-Changer with the Braun Series 8
Day one with the Braun Series 8, and I’m already impressed! For years, I’ve struggled with sensitive skin and the dreaded red, bumpy razor burn that comes with it. After a particularly bad breakout, I dug out an old Braun Series 3 I had stashed away in a drawer. While it was gentler on my skin, it just couldn’t deliver the close shave I wanted—which is why I’d stopped using it in the first place. That led me to upgrade to the Series 8, and I’m so glad I did. This shaver delivers a close shave with little to no irritation. The included cleaning station is a fantastic bonus, taking care of the maintenance for me by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the razor. After each cleaning cycle, the shaver smells fresh and feels like new—exactly as advertised.Traveling with the Series 8 will be a breeze since I no longer need to pack multiple shaving creams and aftershaves that never really helped with my skin irritation anyway. The battery life has been excellent so far. After about five minutes of shaving—which will likely take even less time as I get used to it—I barely made a dent in the battery. While the Series 8 isn’t as well-known as the Series 7 or 9, my research showed it offers the best bang for your buck. It combines the strengths of both lines, and in my opinion, doesn’t disappoint. If you’re on the fence, I’d absolutely recommend giving it a try!

Husband LOVES his new razor
I purchased this for my husband after watching my husband constantly trying to "jimmy-rig" his old razor in the mornings before work. So, first I did some research. If you're going to purchase a razor that costs hundreds of dollars, be sure you know what you are purchasing. Then, I read the reviews from multiple websites. I really liked those comparing the different series. This is how I ended up with the Series 8. Really, it does everything the typical man wants his razor to do with dependability, speed, and endurance. Things my husband has commented on since his first use at the beginning of the year: the battery lasts forever but he still ran an electrical cord from under the bathroom vanity to the drawer where he keeps it for quick charging when needed without clutter to counter space; the cleaning solution is really awesome and the refill packs are generally on sale on Amazon; the ability to get a close shave without much effort is nice and leaves the face smooth; no need to moisturize your face after a shave because of the lift of hair from pores while shaving is smoother-skin of pores are not irritated in the process. I really like that this shaver is quiet and not annoying before I have my morning coffee. I really don't even notice he is using it during our before-work routine. I do notice his skin is softer and smoother. If you are a wife looking for a gift your husband would love but would hate asking for because it is an "investment," this is it. Buy it and show him you listen to him and care. He will appreciate this more than some tool or trinket he will only occasionally use.

Actually a close shave
I've used mid-range shavers for many years. They've always been OK for everyday shaving, but for anything more important I always used a blade. I received this as a gift and was skeptical about seeing a significant improvement despite the extra cost (which is why I always bought mid-range). I was pleasantly surprised to find this really was much better. In the same amount of time as before I can get a nearly blade-smooth shave now. It's lighter and quieter than what I've used before, too. My only complaint with the shaver is the mechanism for removing and replacing the blades is very finicky. As for the cleaning station, it seems really gimmicky. It's a huge appliance that takes a lot of room on my counter and doesn't do much more than a good rinse. It's not refillable either, you're supposed to buy large plastic tanks to refill it. After a few uses I moved it to the closet.
