We have tried several systems, however none are a match for Tado. Starting with simple installation and set up, the system allows a multitude of operation settings. The app works too, allowing advocates changes when required. All of it is so good.

My house is newly built, and has 2x Tp-one-b Thermostats that control only the heating. The boiler is a Log 35. If you have WIRED thermostats installation is easier with this kit (wired) rather than the wireless kit. Very easy to set up, the instructions on the app are amazing and really do give you a customised install, the thermostats were as easy as turning off the power, scanning in the app, taking the old ones of the wall and putting in the two cables into the same marked holes in the Tado. All in all full installation took me only around 40 minutes. They paired to Homekit perfectly and now look great and work as expected. I got this starter kit and an extra thermostat for around £160 total on sale, so I would recommend doing the same.

Easy to install for someone with no electrical or DIY knowledge. Good app, added radiator valves and easy to set up

The thermostat was easy to install. Being hard wired really did worry me, however simple instructions and common sense made the install very easy. Only issue I had, was the power lead for the little hub is stupidly short. 30cm maybe, which just makes it impractical in 99% of installations. Easy to configure and connect up to Alexa also and responds to the very few basic commands you can give. Downsides are its limitations within the Tado app and the Alexa integration. If you use an Alexa command, you have to go back in to the Tado app to revert back to the auto heating schedule, there is no way to do this with Alexa. So any time you boost the heating, the app is also required, so defeats the object to an extent. Temperature is easily controlled with Alexa, but again, any changes results in the schedule being stopped and having to go in to the app to continue it, shame as it surely is simple enough to ensure scheduling remains in place... Would recommend as was cheaper than replacing the faulty timer on our combi.

I was quite nervous about upgrading my heating to a smart system. After much research and deliberation I went for Tado. Good choice! I've now been up and running for over 12 months and am 100% happy with the results. There were a couple of questions during installation but using the Tado on line help I got personally tailored answers, usually within a couple of hours. The respondent had obviously read my question and the answer was spot on. I'm now able to just heat the parts of the house I want too and at the time I need to. The phone app works perfectly on my budget android phone which pulls it all together well. I can now turn the heating on just as I am leaving the pub😁. Perfect😁. My skill level? I would describe it as "competent DIYer". I find it hard to believe I could have found a better solution than Tado and can 100% recommend this system.

I was a little nervous to install as I don't like working with electricity but this was super easy. The step by step instructions were fantastic and the best I've seen on anything before. The Tado also works like a charm but I've just noticed the batteries are already flat so now need to figure how to get it off the wall again.

I bought this to replace my bog standard thermostat in my new build house. Was very easy to install and had it up and running in no time. I went for the tado (rather than a Nest or Hive) as I'm planning on adding the TRV's at some point so I can control each room independently. One downside I've learnt is the internet bridge has to have connectivity constantly, otherwise the schedule doesn't work. For example, if you had your heating schedule to be at 21 degrees in the morning and 16 degrees in the afternoon, if your internet went down, your heating would stay on at 21 degrees all day until the internet came back on. As someone else, you don't need to have TVRs in every room for this to work. This is just a straight thermostat swap.

While the system is very easy to set up and is a huge improvement on the standard "dumb" heating system, the lack of the ability to set up heat profiles is quite astonishing and not something that even occurred to me that it wouldn't have. It means that rather than just setting the schedule to go to (for example) "Night time" profile or "Working from home" profile, you instead have to set up a separate schedule for every device in the house! Mind blowing! The work involved in adjusting the schedules has meant we've stopped using schedules all together and just set the temperature in specific rooms manually using the app. Not what I bought the system for. It's so strange that a very solid system is so let down by the software. The problems with the app don't end there as even setting the schedule for a specific room is limited not allowing you to save different schedules for Summer and Winter so each season you have to go through adjusting potentially 7 different schedules for each device... we have 7 of these so that's 49 schedules each with between 2 and 5 different temperature set throughout the day. We also at random have some nights where despite every device being set to "Frost protection" we wake up sweating because the heating has come on. These are not cold nights where the temperature has not dropped below 18 degrees. This not only wastes money and ruins our nights sleep, but we now have a new-born in the house and this could be very dangerous for her!

I am using TADO for 3 years and perfect to control all the radiators from you mobile home, you can set it away or home mode for more comfort and saving. It allows you to create time blocks for different temperature settings during the day so once is set you dont need to worry.

Tienes muchas opciones de configuración, pero algunas, como el de que se encienda la calefacción cuando estás llegando a casa o que detecte si está la ventana abierta, para cerrar la calefacción, son de pago. Yo no usé esta opción, puesto que no aporta mucha más comodidad de lo que pueda necesitar. Si lo que buscas es que tu calefacción sea autónoma y que en función de la temperatura de cada estancia se regule automáticamente y que no tenga una habitación generando mucho calor 🥵 y otras más frías y que tarden más en calentar, éste es tu sistema. Por lo de ahora estoy en fase de pruebas, por lo que no tengo una valoración de mucha experiencia. Este sistema, no es un sistema para ahorrar en calefacción, pero te permite tener tu hogar desatendido y bien optimizado en el gasto de calefacción. ✅ CONCLUSIÓN Un buen sistema de calefacción con una relación calidad/precio un poco elevado, pero de los más fiables que encontré por Amazon. Llevo tres años con él y nunca tuve problemas con toda la instalación. En total tengo 6 termostatos de radiador y el kit de conexión inalámbrica. Un sistema con buen funcionamiento y sencillo de instalar con el que puedes controlar con el altavoz inteligente Alexa. Ich setze das Komplettset von Tado schon länger ein und habe auch bereits mehrere bei Freunden installiert und glaube mir dadurch eine ganz ausgewogene Meinung gebildet haben zu können. Die Bewertung bezieht sich auf das Gesamtsystem und ist ggf. nicht nur auf das Starterkit beschränkt. Aufbau und Installation Der Aufbau der Station ist super einfach. Die Basisstation wird mit einem Netzwerkkabel ans Internet und per USB-Kabel und einer regulären 5V Spannungsversorgung verbunden. Was praktisch ist, die Basisstation kann auch problemlos an den USB-Port eines Routers angeschlossen werden (Getestet mit einer Fritz!Box 7590 und einer Fritz!Box deren Typ ich leider nicht kenne). So hat die Basis direkt Spannung und Internet. Die Reichweite der Basisstation ist ausreichend und ich hatte bisher noch nicht das Problem mit einer abgebrochenen Verbindung. Updates o. Ä. werden automatisch installiert, das System ist also weitestgehend wartungsfrei. Lediglich die Batterien müssen gelegentlich getauscht werden. Aus ökologischen Gründen verwende ich Akkus. Anfangs gab es hier Probleme mit der niedrigeren Spannung von Akkus gegenüber Batterien, diese Probleme wurden jedoch mit einem Update behoben. Die Heizungsthermostate können einfach auf die bestehenden Heizkörper angeschraubt werden. Es sind diverse Adapter für verschiedene Systeme dabei, wovon ich jedoch noch keine verwenden musste. Bedienung Die Einrichtung per App ist einfach und intuitiv. Wie ich schon erwähne, ich habe das System bei mehreren Freunden installiert und diese hatten eigentlich nie rückfragen bezüglich der Bedienung. Man kann sich einfach Routinen anlegen, sodass nur geheizt wird, wenn man wirklich zu Hause ist. In der App werden auch Tipps für die Nutzung und wie man möglichst viel Energie spart, gegeben. Es ist auch eine „offene Fenster Erkennung“ integriert, die das Heizen automatisch einstellt, wenn ein Fenster geöffnet wurde. Neben der Raumtemperatur kann man sich auch die Luftfeuchtigkeit anzeigen lassen und eine Schätzung der Raumluftqualität. Letztere ist jedoch nur eine Schätzung, da keine entsprechende Sensorik verbaut ist. Enttäuschenderweise gibt es einige kleine Nachteile bei der Tado Lösung. Gewisse Funktionen wie das automatische Abschalten der Heizung bei Abwesenheit sind nur mit einem Abo nutzbar. Mit dem Pro Abo erkennt die Tado-App automatisch, ob man zu Hause ist oder nicht und schaltet entsprechend die Heizung. Ich habe das Abo ein Jahr getestet, bin dann aber dazu übergegangen einfach nach dem Verlassen der Haustür auf „Abwesend“ zu klicken, dadurch wird die Wohnung dann auf einer festgelegten Mindesttemperatur gehalten. Verwendung mit Raumthermostat Es gibt von Tado auch ein Raumthermostat. Dieses verwende ich in Kombination mit einer Brötje Gastherme. Anfangs hatte ich kleinere Probleme bei der Installation, doch der Support war doch sehr hilfreich und diese konnten schnell gelöst werden. In Kombination mit dem Raumthermostat macht dieses Set besonders viel Sinn. Wenn man nicht heizen muss, wird die Gastherme deaktiviert, wodurch der Heizkreislauf nicht unnötig auf Temperatur gehalten wird. Das System hat sogar meinen Vermieter überzeugt und wird bei uns jetzt Standard. Hier hat Tado mitgedacht und es gibt sogar die Möglichkeit Mietern den Zugriff auf die einzelnen Wohnungen zu geben ohne dass diese "besitzer" des Systems sind. Fazit Alles in allem ein großartiges System. Ich habe Geld gespart und bekomme trotz Gaskrise und Co. sogar noch Geld zurück und optimiere mit einem kleinen Aufwand meinen CO₂abdruck. Das System hatte sich bei mir nach einem Jahr amortisiert. Jetzt spare ich jedes Jahr Geld und Co2 :)

A major issue for me with this thermostat is that it uses . The amount of heat tado° asks for is shown by the heat request symbol as a number of wavy lines for heat demand 3 is a high heat request, 2 is medium,1 is low and 0 is off. I fitted a smart power plug to the power point of the boiler and it shows that it cycles on and off up to 8 times - this cannot be good for the SIME DGT30E (that uses 2 wires). I wish there was a setting to just function ON and OFF without "wavy lines" like every other smart and non-smart thermostat functions. So easily fixed in the software. I will replace it soon, as the heater is close to the bedroom window and having it cycling drives us mad. I should have read the tado web forums and there are many people complaining about this issue. If this software "problem" was resolved I would give it 5 stars.
