Superiorly cute
Update: I’m very happy with this. It’s super quiet, it’s a great size and its design is delightful. Warning though: the teeny tiny cheap little water spout can be knocked out of its hole by a cat with a simple paw swipe. It’s so small it could then get lost easily and the company doesn’t have them for sale on their website. Why aren’t all water fountains designed with the same outlook on life as this one. It is superiorly cute :) I love the attitude of whomever designed this water bowl. Happiness all around. However…The slanted water bowl gets my cats wet as they lean in to drink. They don’t seem to care but I do. Also there’s the spout problem. It’s like an afterthought when it should be a priority. I shop fountains by comparing the spouts and how they push the water because my cats are very particular about that. This one is so ridiculously tiny it’s bound to get lost immediately. That needs to be addressed. Other than those two points, this fountain is one of a kind.

Works great - Just have to clean it regularly
I had my cat drinking out of a normal water and food bowl holder but my cat would regularly knock it over when there was food and water in it so it got annoying after a while. After doing some research I thought that maybe it was because she was bored of stagnant water so I bought this fountain. It took her a while to feel comfortable around the fountain because the spout freaked her out—it took a few days of training her with treats to get closer to it. I eventually set the treats right next to the spout and she found out the fountain was safe and she loved the moving water. After three weeks the fountain stopped working, when I opened it I was a little horrified to see a green algae-looking substance coated in the bottom and inside the motor so I came to the reviews here and saw multiple people complaining about the same thing. But then I saw that some people took apart the motor and cleaned it out and it started working again. After some research I found out the green algae substance appears in stagnant water (just like if you propagate plants) and loves the saliva and sugar from your cat’s mouth, if left unchecked it harbors bacteria and can make your cat sick. If something similar happened to you—every time the fountain runs out of water just give it a scrub, take the motor apart and use a toothbrush and/or straw cleaner to get inside the small crevices, put it back together and it works like a charm again. I did have to buy replacement filters which you can also find on Amazon, I bought a pack of 30 for $16. Just like anything in life, this fountain works perfectly if you regularly maintain and take care of it.

Too pretty to be so bad
Think twice before investing in this water feature. It's undoubtedly very pretty and looks great, but the problem is that the water pump doesn't even last a month. The warranty covered a 30-day replacement, but the new one had the same problem. Being a water feature that's more expensive than others, it should be of higher quality. Of course, the warranty expired, and I had to buy another, cheaper, but better-quality fountain. Sometimes expensive and beautiful things aren't the best. Don't waste your time or money on this fountain. While they do sell replacement pumps, they're very powerful, and the water sprays from the fountain onto the floor. Definitely my worst purchase of 2025.

Purrfect for hydrating kitty
I have an older cat and really wanted to get a water fountain in the hope she would drink more. I needed something that would be really quiet since she dislikes strange noises, was easy to clean, and had a metal drinking base. After looking at several models I ordered this super cute Catit Pixi fountain. Setting it up was easy and I love that the filter is secured into place. While it's easy to see the red light, meaning low on water, seeing the fill line is difficult. I have adjusted to seeing the fill line when I stand back from the fountain. It does hold quite a bit of water. It's also extremely quiet, the only noise you hear is the sound of the water streaming out of the spout hitting the metal. When I called my cat over and said look at what you got, she splashed her paw in it. She has never done this before. She didn't go near it for several days so I started the process of training her to use it. I began unplugging for periods of time during which she would drink out of it, then plugging in it. Now it's plugged in all the time and she drinks from it constantly. I waited until I needed to do a filter change to post this review. Again, it was easy to clean and change the filter. The pump didn't need to pulled apart but I did rinse it clean as it fell slimy. I'm very pleased with this product and will need to get the new rechargeable model in case the power goes out. I don't think my cat could go without this now.

Too bad body is made of plastic.
I went with the stainless steel one because I read it harbors less bacteria than plastic. Then I relize the body of the fountain is plastic. So here's my 2 cents Pro: - My cats took to it quickly. They love that is flows all the time. I have one that's wireless and it only flows when the cat walks into the room. They are not a fan and drink from this one a lot more - The fountain is dang cute. How can you not like it? - Capacity is ok. I fill it up every Thursday and it lasts about a week - Quiet. Con - The body of the fountain is plastic - After a few months I see a residue buidling up no matter how much I clean it. My home has hard water - The pump clogs frequently. That's just how it is. But as others have said, a goo builds up if you don't clean it regularly - My pump actually broke after a few months. I just went online and got a similar one for a few bucks. Overall a good fountain but I am going to toss it and switch to a ceramic one or one that does not have plastic as its main body. Its not just about cat acne, but the bacteria that builds up in plastic. If this company were to make one out of ceramic or non plastic, I'd buy one

Update on fixing fountain
After seeing so many negative reviews for this fountain, I had to write this suggestion. Like yours, my pump stopped working after a few months. I am an elderly woman, so it does not require a rocket scientist. It's a simple submersible pump like you have in a pond. Unplug the pump and remove it from the bowl. Remove the cover (the part with the openings). The next thing you will remove is the impeller cover. You will then see the impeller, the rotating part that looks like a fan. Pull out the impeller with needle nose pliers or tweezers. There is likely some dirt in that area. Rinse it out; use a Q-tip if necessary. Then, put it back together. Put it in a bowl of water to test it. Voila. It works. If t doesn't work, just purchase a very small submersible pump. Make sure it has a USB plug so that you can get it through the slot. They are very inexpensive and available at Amazon. Some even have lights. Hope this helps. UPDATE: I had to finally replace the pump and got one that said it was for a cat fountain; however, the spray was so strong that it crossed over the bowl and sprayed water on the floor about 2 feet away. Searching for a smaller one, I found the PULACO DC 5V USB Mini Submersible Water Pump on Amazon. It has a swith on it that will give you 3 levels of flow. I just istalled it, and it works perfectly at the lowest flow setting. It costs $9.99 on Amazon. It is great. I am happy; cat is happy! Love this fountain!

Best water fountain for cats
I have 4 very picky boy kitties. They have had multiple styles of water bowls and this was the third water fountain I tried. This is a winner!! First, it is quiet. I hate hearing the sound of the water all the time so the fact that I can't hear this one unless the water drops too low is really a win already. The price is another great factor. It is equal or less to other kitty fountains. The ease of cleaning is fantastic. I have had 2 other fountains that had so many parts to disassemble and clean out that it took so long to deal with. This is really simple. I like the window to see the water level and the little light is a fun add on bonus. The design is so cute. As for the picky boys -- they love it. I have one that likes to use his paws to drink. This fountain allows for that but because the top only has a shallow amount of water, he can't dump too much out. I have one that likes to drink directly from the running spout part. The other 2 use the top bowl section and seem to be good with it. I ended up buying a second one for another part of the house. The filters are easy to put in and not too expensive. Best water fountain by far -- Human and cat approved!!
