Can finally see where the water is landing
It is great to be able to see where the water is landing and what areas are not getting enough water.....my old system was wasting water from too much spraying mist, heads kept getting clogged and was easily diverted if it was windy.....these new heads are more efficient and effective....after almost 20 years had to dig up all my sprinklers and center them on my level to make maximum use of these new gear type because if they aren't you can immediately see where you are wasting water...takes several days to get these heads so you have to plan for that, but they do arrive on time....very happy for now with product, glad to see the large filter screen and give it 4 stars for now to see how they last and how well the filter system works...

An easy retrofit that saves lots of water
The problem with conventional sprinkler nozzles is that they have only limited geometric coverage patterns (quarter, half, or full circle) and they emit a fine spray that is easily blown away from your lawn by even the lightest of winds and more readily evaporates before falling. We looked into rotary sprinkler heads many years ago, but it was going to cost us hundreds of dollars to retrofit our small backyard. Fast forward to last month. I needed to replace a couple of leaking conventional nozzles. I researched again and found these drop-in replacements. $67 (10-piece bag) and less than an hour of work, and I had replaced all the nozzles. The best part is that you can adjust these to start and end where you want so that the concentrated streams of water end up on the lawn where they belong. I love high tech at a low price. Highly recommend!

2 of 10 work Great, others notsomuch -- Problems with Replacement
Update 2: I have returned 2 of 10 defective sprinkler nozzles from my first order. In a second order, all 10 worked properly. The Amazon automated return system could Not handle a partial replacement of 10 identical parts, with 2 being defective. The Amazon robot finally had a Live person call me. I explained the dilemma and had the RMA ID number ready. It had been cancelled. Now I am supposed to get a replacement for free in two days. I hope they do not send me 10 replacements! I am not trying to Cheat Amazon. I just want to replace 2 of 10 nozzles. I now have a test device (see picture) so I can identify defective nozzles before I install them, which can be a lot of work.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I tried the Hunter (RTL2002MP200090) and Rainbird versions (R-Van14 Adjustable) of this mini-rotating sprinkler head. Both worked well but I liked the Rainbird a little better and so bought a pack of 10. Some complained a few heads were faulty. I found by increasing and decreasing the arc just a little on heads that were not spraying correctly, the pattern became normal and satisfactory. (Update, it returns to defective coverage with gaps after being turned off and back on). The radius ("throw") is easier to adjust on the Rainbird than the Hunter but there is not much adjustment. The Hunter was shooting too far and the distance adjustment did not help, while the Rainbird adjustment helped a little and was easier. The Rainbird webpage shows the R-VAN14 and 14RNVAPRO, but I called Rainbird several times and finally a someone assured me they are identical with no differences. Most references to 14RNVAPRO link to the R-VAN14
