I have used several different brands for eye support. This brand seems to be superior with all its products. When I take it regularly, I don't have zigzags, and my eyes feel better overall.

MacuGuard is a great combination of ingredients - everything I had researched all in one formula. Unfortunately, upon receipt the inner seal of supplement bottle was already opened. Outer plastic wrap around lid not torn but loosely fitting; may have been stretched and removed previously and slipped back on the bottle. Supplement gels smelled fishy. Four stars because I reached company representative at Life Extension, and they quickly refunded me, agreeing that seal should not have been open and should not smell fishy. I'll try to order again and hope for new product that hasn't been damaged or possibly tampered with.

I’ve been taking this supplement since the end of March. A friend recommended after I’d gotten one of those subconjunctival hemorrhage (or blood in the white of the eye) I’ve used prescription glasses to drive for the past 3 years. But yesterday I started noticing my distance vision was worse with those glasses..hum.. maybe just too much computer time as eyes at my age (over 60) have a harder time refocusing after close up reading. But again today even after very little computer time.. I kept taking them on and off to confirm that I really CAN see better without the prescription sunglasses! I had Lasix in 1999 and had the mono-vision option, where my dominate eye is for distance and other for reading. For about 15 years I didn’t need any glasses (I’d been very nearsighted) but age crept up and now I have reading, tv, computer and driving prescription glasses. But today I drove all over town just wearing my old NON-prescription sunglasses and was able to read street signs I could read before without prescription glasses…hence my title of this review. I’m stunned! My distance eye (my dominant which is for distance) is better?!? Huh??? I still need reading glasses unless that also improves. We’ll see! I never expected this and see others have also benefited. I do have very dry eyes and my Dr just prescribed Restasis but I haven’t started it yet. I can’t wait see if it helps even more as Restasis reduces the inflammation causing very dry eyes (I’m also a long time antihistamine taker) Just wanted to add my review to others here.UPDATE: I had an eye exam 2 days ago and my doctor confirmed I have zero indications of AMD. None of the drusen which can be precursors to AMD. I’m also seeing better up close. Today in the grocery store I was able to actually read (not super clear) the letters on the Tuna cans I buy. I always had to get out my reading glasses before to even see if I was actually buying canned tuna and not something else. I almost laughed out loud. It’s like the lights are brighter which I can’t explain. So my point of this update is to say I’m a person with zero AMD and my vision is improving. This supplement is amazing.

Work at an office 8 hours a day and then reading books and constantly on the phone. Everyone needs to take their vision very seriously. Our eyes are taking a beating every single day!!!

I have to admit I was highly skeptical, but I have noticed marked improvements with my vision since taking this. I sit in front of dual monitors under fluorescent lights all day, and my vision was getting steadily worse. I used to wake up with blurry vision in the morning, and by the end of each work day, the blurriness would come back. By the end of the week, my eyes were toast. I even had to take a sick day because my vision was so bad one day, I could barely see even with my glasses. Since taking this, the blurriness from too much time in front of a monitor or looking at TV or my phone is gone. I don't seem to have the same ocular fatigue that I used to. That being said, I also started red light therapy with a cheap lamp (three times a week for 3 mins each). The combination of the two has definitely helped my eyesight. I am near and far sighted.
