We've had ours for almost a year now. We have two, and I'm probably getting another one soon. They were very easy to install and work great. The batteries last a long time and really depend on how often you use the mechanism to lock/unlock the door instead of the key. In the year we've had them, we needed to replace the batteries once on the one that gets more use but not the other. The clicking sound that I've seen mentioned in a couple reviews could be the door not getting unlocked/locked all the way. If its not locked/unlocked all the way and the mechanism tries to unlock/lock it, it makes an awful clicking grinding sound and does not unlock/lock. I've only had this issue twice (and those two times were thanks to my two year old). The beeping is pretty quiet, but the mechanism that unlocks (or autolocks) the door is pretty loud. The autolock feature you can turn off or on depending on your preference. It takes a few seconds before the door locks on its own, so if you're trying to be quiet you just lock it manually before the door locks itself. The only issue other than the mechanism being pretty loud is that sometimes the numbers will register that they were pressed twice (or not at all) when you try to put in your code so just be deliberate when you put your code in and you won't have a problem....oh and don't use a six digit code like I did on the first one....keep it to four digits and you'll be happier. :)

I don’t write a lot of reviews. This was easy to install using existing hardware on door frame. I’ve had it a month and it is installed indoors. I love not having to bring my key with me. Backup keys are also locked away separately. I have had no issues and it works great! Price was good compared to other models. I didn’t need something heavy duty. This fits my needs.

I rarely write reviews but this lock and the supplier earned their one star and I am compelled to tell you why. I installed the first lock and found it no worse or better as far as the level of difficulty as other keyless entry locks I have installed but after the install, it was all downhill. It worked for 5 or 6 cycles or about 2 days and I found that it would no longer unlock without the key. So I reset the lock and it began working again but only for a day or so. I then replaced the batteries and the lock worked on and off again for 3 or 4 days and quit altogether. It would just beep but the internal motor did not activate to lock or unlock. So I just started using the key for a few weeks and then gave it another shot. The same thing again it worked off and on again over the next few days and then just failed completely. Now I am over the 30 days that Amazon will refund the product but I call them anyway. They try to troubleshoot the lock over the phone but to no avail so they put me on hold and called the suppliers tech support who did not answer. Amazon tells me that the supplier will contact me in the next few days to attempt to resolve the matter. I waited over a week and no attempt to contact me was made. Now I am ashamed to admit to the stupidity of my next move but out of need and frustration, I order another identical lock.... surely the next one will work. NOT! The next one was worse. It would not unlock starting at moment one of the install! So I call the MILock tech support number only to be informed by recording that I need to go online and register my lock if I expect to get preferential treatment from Tech Support. Great my home is unsecured with no lock on the door and I need to go online and REGISTER MY LOCK SO THAT I MIGHT FALL UNDER THE GOOD GRACES OF THE MILOCK TECH SUPPORT DEPARTMENT AND GET A RESPONSE! Well, I left a message but MiLock never called so I came to my senses and drove to Home Depot and bought a lock I could rely on and installed it without incident. Please profit from my experience and do not purchase this product.

No more difficult to install than a standard door knob. Works well. Easy to program.I live with my 90 year old mother with dementia and have to hide a lot of things for safety sake in my bedroom. This was the ticket to solving the issues I was having. You can set it to where it automatically relocks or you manually locking it. You could put on a laundry room or kitchen door if you have a loved one that you are trying to protect.
