I had read and heard a lot of buzz about Mijello palettes, and I thought long before buying this palette, as I would only be using it at home or on casual travels. I must say that I am thrilled every time I buy a new tube of paint and there is still room to put it into the palette 🥰😍🥳👌 For those of us who likes our palettes to carry ALL of our colors, or those who can't choose when going away, and even want more pans on the side, this palette is a bargain for the price! As you can hear kn the video, it has a bit of "plasticky" feel, which some will abhore because they don't like a palette to sound a bit "hollow" when you knock on it. It IS plasticky. But not in a cheap, soft way. In a hard-shell-withstanding-knocks way! Thus, it sounds a bit loud when you handle it. The massive space to blend colors, the option to take the upper tray out and let the rest of the palette be left behind, makes for a more versatile approach to carrying it around. You can also store a brush or two in the æarge compartment if you don't have a brush case at hand, or don't use travel brushes. The lid..... Yes, closes efficiently. At first, I was afraid it would'nt, since it's huge and all. But during use, I have been very impressed. I have put it in a laptop bag and carried it upright with me on travel, and the lid will not wreak loose. If you let the paint dry, there will be almost no issues, unless you put a lot of other stuff in the upper tray that hinders the closing. Once the paint is dry, it's practically the best (plastic) - and most impressive - painting palette on the market, except for the Roblax which is a lazy Suzan with 100 wells ... it's off-limits in Europe, so you don't even need to Google it...

I like this palette except for the closure mechanism. I travel with this palette and find that the front snap closure easily pops open when I pack it in my bag. Not necessarily a deal breaker, I can put a rubber band around it to secure the seal but at this price point, I'm disappointed. I have some Meeden 33 well palettes and prefer the security of the fold over closure they use.
