I still had my old remote but all the buttons were faded and the battery covers would not stay on. I ordered this remote as a replacement and was able to add the second remote in the settings. Both remotes still work. I wish I would have bought this remote years ago. It also comes with instructions to add remote if you have lost your original remote.

Ok, so my remote didn't work right out of the box, but I did extensive research before I gave up. None of it really worked, but I did see where combinations of buttons with the power switch could work. The one that worked for my was "Power Button" while pressing the "Bluetooth" button. Came right on, everything works well now.

As soon as I put in the battery and pushed the on button it worked. I thought I might have to program the remote or pair it to my sound bar but it worked the first time I turned it on. The battery compartment is a little tricky to open.

Soundbar remote arrived without CR2025 battery despite packaging containing remote stating item included with battery and a prominent warning label on the outside of the box alerting the shipment contained a battery. I inserted the specified battery from my home stash and the remote worked well. I did not need to pair the remote with the soundbar and the quality of the remote appeared similar to the original remote bing replaced.

As soon as I put the battery (came with it) in, straight away connected to my Yamaha unit. Not sure how long will last, but as of now I am very happy to be able to control the soundbar again!

Replacement to original remote worked properly. Cost about the cost of a new battery for the old remote.
