I was hesitant. If you are looking to try to tattoo with a pen this will work. This is great for fine line work. Great for shading and packing colors in tight places. Outlining large pieces is not meant for this machine. Everything else can be done with this no matter what. Patience is a virtue and in tattooing you need to be patient than a MF!

This is great for a beginner like myself. The only thing I wish was better was the ink and skin. On the website they even recommend not using this ink on human skin. The fake skin is very tough and it was hard to get the ink into it. This is also a factor of poor ink I think. This sorta dampened my confidence in what I was doing but I think with better skins and ink I will be able to improve. The other thing I wish was a little better was the way you connect the needle cartridge to the machine. You just push and twist and it seems to just sit in an open area. When I was tattooing, the cart would occasionally fall out of place as there is no lock-in or snap on security with the cart to the machine. I think this could be risky if you are tattooing on real skin as you wouldn’t want the needle jamming down in an area you aren’t tattooing. This is why I give it a four stars. Besides that, I got the entire kit with all the goodies. It was easy to put together and clean up after I was finished and I’m excited to keep using it to further my new hobby

for my first time ever practicing tattooing this kit comes with everything in small quantity, i recommend buying more gloves, more transfer paper, more needles and ink caps and such. also recommend getting green soap and disinfectant, more a&d, paper towels, and better ink. the ink does hold but it takes quite a few passes to get to the desired pigment. also would recommend an ink mixing solution like one from dynamic. i also bought second skin, stencil markers, and THICKER fake skin.

I bought this because I wanted to try the pen style tattoo machine I have standard style guns already the set is nice and comes with everything you need to start the full size ink bottles are really nice but the power supply box I received was faulty and did not work but I already had a another power supply so after putting the pen on the other power supply it’s seems to be functional set up was easy and it was packaged well I rated 3 stars because if it wasn’t for me already owning tattoo equipment I would not have been able to use this because of the bad power supply

For learning and practicing on fake skin, its definitely good. Im seriously wondering about some reviews here by people who complain that this kit is really bad for tattooing, and sharing pictures of tattoos on their own skin or they do tattoo other people with it. I mean its a cheap kit. Definitely only for practicing on fake skin, I dont know why people think its good for really tattooing people. And they actually do. 4 star because The faux skin provided is not really great. I ordered different. And the foot pedal sometimes stop working. But other than that its fine for beginners who wants to know what it feels like to hold a tattoo gun and how it works, before they get a proper course and proper machine. At first I tought the kit isn't good, but I realised I didnt use it properly, so i tried and tried and here is a picture of an orange I was practicing on today. :) :)
