Works great and saved me from an expensive tow. My alternator went out and I was stuck on the side of the road. After I charged the battery, I took my car straight to the repair shop. It's so easy to use and it got my car started very quickly. I like this charger so much, I picked up two more. Make sure you keep it charged, so when you need it, it'll save you.

I used it only once to jump start a 4-cylinder car with dead batteries, then gifted it. After the jumpstart it still showed 100% charge, that, while it is obviously not possible, and probably the result of an inaccurate gage, still indicates that there is plenty of juice left. Worked as advertised. Light, easy to store in trunk. Should top up charge every 6 months or so. But though I did not, it still started car with completely dead battery in a few seconds. Inconvenient if your battery dies in the mall. Dangerous if it does so late at night in an unsafe area. Lost no time in ordering one for my wife's car as well. Worth every cent.

I bought this to replace the older model, which had served me well for years. It was one of the original small jump packs and worked brilliantly for my 1.8 liter car, but I recently bought a new car, and the case on the old one was cracking. I had used the old one, but occasionally it would have a tough time jumping the car. It never failed, it just took several tries, and I was concerned it would eventually fail me.So, I purchased this updated model with better stats all around. The first couple of times I used it, it worked well enough. I really didn't notice much difference, if any, between this and the old one I had. Then, about a week ago it absolutely would not start my car. I tried for 20 minutes in the rain to get it going, but it wouldn't even try to turn over. I assumed my battery had finally had it, but I pulled out the old model and gave it a try anyway, just to see. What do you know, it started right up on the first try. I got into my now running car, pulled up the Amazon app, and immediately requested a return.I did try it once more before I boxed it up to send it back, and I had similar results. I've swapped it with a different brand that has not let me down yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to try a third brand. If you are thinking about the CPP12000, just don't. Keep looking. There are better options out there, and most cost less than this.

Everyone needs one of these in their car. It makes a dead battery something easy to fix. When my 16 year old daughter stops to help a woman stuck in a parking lot and jumps her car in 5 minutes, everyone is so impressed but its easy. Get one! Don't waste your time finding someone to drive up next to your car who has jumper cables and feels comfortable lifting a hood and looking for a battery and then hooking it up correctly. Yes, its not hard but it does freak some people out.

I bought this with the attention of solely using this as a portable charger and prayed that I would never have to use it to jump my car. However my car didn't start today and I had to use it. This has been the best investment I've made for my car. Jumping was fairly simple and I didn't even have to wait long. This is a must have for your car

It works as advertised. Battery failed in six year old Mercedes. Attached the Cobra and car started right up.
