Good Clean smell. Soothing on face

I love this stuff. Back when I got hair cuts at a barbershop, all the barbers I knew used Clubman. Best thing I’ve found for razor burns.

I have used this stuff for over fifty years after being used by my barber. My wife and kids have always associated it with my smell and encouraging me to not change my Colone.

My wife loves the scent, so that is the main thing. She was never a huge fan of my Aqua Velva. Smells a bit like baby powder initially, so I don't love that aspect of it, but the lingering aroma is great, hence the five stars overall, though four for the scent. It does not seem to last all day, however, though this is difficult to gauge as the wearer. My grandpa always wore Old Spice when I was little, but this really reminds me more of him than the new Old Spice does. Hopefully this becomes the scent my little girl associates with her daddy and she can have those lingering memories of watching me shave and feeling my freshly-smooth face.[Update 2023 January 31]Perhaps my nose has grown accustomed to the scent, but it no longer gives off that initial 'baby powder smell' that I initially detected. Perhaps like a bottle of wine, once opened, the properties begin to change somewhat. My wife definitely thinks there's some musk in there, and she still loves it.

Would purchase anytime

Compared to my other Clubman after shave lotion, this particular fragrance is terribly disappointing. I find it to be a weak, disagreeable scent that goes on badly and disappears within a matter of a few hours. It is quite simply the least pleasant fragrance in a man's after shave that I have ever used. For the price paid - Can$ 25.00+ - this has proven to be a regrettable purchase. There is absolutely nothing at all about this after shave to recommend it in my view.Addendum. After trying to use and like this after shave for a couple of additional days following the above post, I simply gave up in disgust. It was just that unpleasant. Sadly, the return window had closed the week before, but hoping that superlative Amazon customer service might be able to offer a solution, I took and chance and called.I spoke to a delightful Philippines based CSR, Marichris, who listened patiently to my tale of woe and then helpfully offered to discuss possible options with her team. A few minutes later she returned to tell me that the user experience I described was not what Amazon wanted for their customers. Therefore, she and her team had decided the best solution under the circumstances was to offer me a full refund and the choice of keeping or giving the after shave away. I was absolutely delighted and I told her so. She giggled!I have since given this slightly used after shave away and subsequently ordered a different fragrance from Axe, my shower gel and shampoo products of choice. In the end, everything worked out beautifully. Thanks once again Amazon for the splendid customer service. Allan H. Adams.
