Doorbell power transformer 24V 500MA, AC230-240V to AC24V ring doorbell adapter, compatible with visual doorbell and thermostat (with 8M extension cable)

We recently installed a wired Tapo doorbell camera because we wanted the ability to have full time recording, which doesn't work in battery mode. As we have never had a wired doorbell before I had already been looking at plugs such as this one to negate the need for an electrician to install everything. This transformer met the power requirements of the Tapo doorbell camera. The wire was much longer than need to reach from the socket near the latch side and around the frame to our desired install point. Some I looked at were way to short unless the socket was within a couple of meters. I actually cut the wire to length and split the end again, so I could strip the individual wires in order to solder tin the ends to loop around the connection screws. This obviously negates the warranty and any return but I was willing to risk it given the price point. After drilling a a hole just big enough to feed the wire through the wooden door frame and camera bracket for the correct position. I connected the wires to the cameras rear terminals and covered the area with insulation tape. I then plugged it in and the camera fired up and the app registered the mains power mode. I set it up on Tapo H500 hub, before switching it off to finish fitting the doorbell camera. I sealed around the edges of the frame and bracket with an outdoor rated waterproof silicon. It has been working perfectly for almost three months now and although the transformer casing gets warm, I have no wortiesabout overheating and no issues with buzzing. I am very pleased with the installation and function and it is very good value compared to hassle ans cost of an electrician fitted version.

Bought to reduce the battery consumption rate of my Blink Doorbell, connected up no problem - couple of hints for others using Blink - in the app select 'Mount with wiring' and follow the instructions, when selecting the type of doorbell, select 'Analogue', and allow it to do the chime test and finally it will measure the voltage and current to check it is supplying the doorbell with the right voltage. It is important not to select 'Digital' chime as this step doesn't do a voltage or current measure and your doorbell won't run off the external power. You can verify the Doorbell is running from external power as it will show 'External Power Status' and 'Good'.

This is the second one of these I’ve had now after accidentally cutting through the first one when opening the garage door. The length of the cable is great as it allows us to feed it through to outside and keep it tidy along the edges of our garage. Installation is simple, just screw the 2 attachments onto the back of your ring doorbell using the screws already on the doorbell and then plug it in. This will only trickle charge however so give your ring doorbell a good charge before hand and this will just prevent the battery going down rather than to charge it up. The only issue I’ve found with this one is the noise, it has a slightly annoying humming/buzzing sound coming from it which my old one didn’t have, luckily for us it’s in the garage so we don’t hear it from the house, otherwise I would send it back. I’m guessing this must be a faulty one given that my old one of the same brand didn’t make this noise, albeit I have read other reviews from people who have mentioned the same.

Used to power a tapo doorbell. Works fine and a good length of cable on it.

Hi, this does not work on a eufy e340 door bell.. initially it will work but then you will notice the bell has switched off because the battery is not charging then you will get a not compatiable warning and it wont allow you to set the recording times. Avoid ive tried 4 different brands 24v 500ma ac 16v then another 24v then finally another 16v. The adaptor itself becomes really hot. Avoid

Buying this power adapter has been such a time saver and stress free purchase because it removes so much of the anxiety of the battery running out then having to charge it during the day etc. I did have drill a hole through my front wall to feed the cable through but it was well worth it. The adapter does make some coil noise however it doesn’t bother me because it is in the front room where no one usually is. Great compatibility since it uses generic power cables for doorbells and it is a trickle charge so bear that in mind. It doesn’t keep the battery fully topped up. However you doorbell won’t ever die on you again

Works well for Ring doorbell. Easy to install.

Very good product easy to install and setup, downside, gotto recharge battery every 6/8 weeks for 8 hours.

El transformador es para UK pues no para EU, que tonto.entonces estábamos obligatorio de buscar una enchufa de cambiarlo. Que mal, nunca mas voy a comprar cosas en Amazon.
