I bought the LED version. Bright enough, cut lines are clear but they do require some modifications if you want them to fit perfectly. They don’t connect to my factory connectors well. I ended up transferring the rear covers from my OEM Hella fog lights onto them. I’d also suggest you take the bumper off and use the brackets come with the lights. OEM brackets don’t work well with them - If you force them they’ll probably break since they are old. Take your time and remove the bumper to do the job.

This fit my oem brackets perfectly and was plug and play. Unfortunately I had an issue where one fog light was cracked during transport, but the seller was quick to reply and promptly shipped a replacement. 10/10 seller.

Swapped over from the fogged version and it’s way brighter.

I had them professionally installed and they provide good lighting in dense fog.

The pins in the jack were too large and would not mate to the factory connector. I used the old connector backshell, cut the ground wire off the light, and soldered it in place. Once done, I attached the factory connector and it mated properly to the old mount point. The left side installed fine, the right side took some additional fabrication to get right. Once installed they look factory fine on my M3. They're certainly cheap enough. But if you can't solder or don't have a lot of time to tinker with this, you might want get a used one somewhere, as the E36 fog lights like many parts on this old car are no longer manufactured.

these are a great item to replace those cracked fog lights. Comes with new housing for mounting in the bumper and bulbs in the units. Installed and happy with the look

Very good quality, much better than expected considering the price, very easy to install and one of my fixture "box" was broken they came with everything new box fit good but crack right away was an easy fix tho (plastic box could be better quality) the fog itself is top notch tho
