No it doesn’t, I don’t think this is a dandruff kind of shampoo. It just makes your hair very dry, in my experience.

Is this less drying than sebamed balancing shampoo?

I don't use the balance one. My hair is not dry at all, and I am 75. Just pure clean. Use your conditioner to enhance the softness and control of your natural wave.
