AirHead Passive -15dB Attenuator

I haven't used it yet, but there's an important feature that is not mentioned even on their site in any detail that would leave you to believe it's there. It has a knob on it that adjusts the attenuation from -6dB to -18dB. There is no information out there suggesting this is an adjustable attenuator. It's a pretty important feature for anyone not certain about how much pad they need. I know it says it's a -15dB pad, and in a lot of situations an extra 3dB might not be enough, but in just as many situations, it is. If the -15db gets you to just below the clip level, -18dB will give you more gain control. Most preamp pads are -20-25dB anyway, so this is good for those that have none.UPDATE:It's pretty awesome. I was worried that the -6dB to -18dB cut wouldn't be enough, leaving me no headroom. I was wrong. Upon plugging it in and checking levels, there was no sound. Without it, and the gain knob at 0 the mic was clipping. I turned the knob to the 12 o'clock position, and it was clipping. 10 o'clock was perfect. There's no discernible noise, and it is passing the full frequency response of a 20Hz-20kH mic. It's also the only attenuator I could find not made in China or Mexico, this one being made in Holland. Overall, I'm super satisfied with this.
