I don't know about giving this as a gift. I really think it depends on a personal style. It has 9 birds that take up a lot of the neck line. I like it because of the birds, they lay down gracefully. I think this is more of a casual piece. I plan on wearing it with plain v neck style shirts. It is definitely a conversation piece. Every time I wear it I receive at least 3 compliments. I think the size is appropriate for all size necks, you can make it longer about 18" tighter at 15" or so. Its perfect for my taste.

The first time the necklace came poorly packaged and broken (if got the impression it was someone’s return). The replacement came quickly in nice packaging and in good repair. Nice, heavy piece, very pretty.

I get lots of compliments when I wear this necklace. It's definitely a statement piece. I knocked one star off because it broke the first time I wore it. I was able to fix the chain with a pliers and a jump ring, and it hasn't broken since then. It's not the highest quality, but you get what you pay for. It's cute and pretty and cheap.

My ultra-conservative and quiet sister's father in law saw me from across the room wearing this piece and pulled me over, whispered in my ear, "I couldn't pull it off as well as you, but i LOVE that necklace and wish I could have it." The necklace is great, I've worn for a few months and no discoloration in the metal. I get lots of compliments and love the bold look.

Got this week for fall. It 's beautiful but bigger than I expected and also more shiny...but not a deal breaker by any means. Reminds me of a Brighton piece which would have cost a small fortune! Looking forward to wearing to work this fall. Really beautiful...be aware it is pretty heavy but the rings seem to be firmly attached to mine...I will keep an eye on them opening as others have reported.

I've been ogling this necklace for well over a year, and finally bought it. To my dismay, it arrived broken. One of the jump rings came loose and a bird is hanging perilously downwards. Fortunately, the ring was found in the plastic bag, and I believe I can fix it myself, so I'm not returning this. My other, more minor, issue is that, overall, this doesn't hang on me like it does in the pictures or on the model. Maybe it is because my neck has a smaller diameter, or maybe I am just cursed, but the birds kind of squish together and overlap rather than being distinct and separate. That makes it much harder to tell what is happening in the design, and it looks less sophisticated. I do really like the design concept of this necklace. In execution, however, it doesn't have particularly sturdy or expensive-looking construction. It's not crudely made, but could certainly improve. It IS fairly large, and has the potential to look a tad clunky with the wrong outfit.

Beautiful for the the money. Have had it for couple years now and looks as new.

This is the necklace I get the most compliments on & I was so happy to find it on here!!! I’ve worn it plenty of times & it is holding up well, I’ve had no issues with any of the links... I definitely recommend adding this to anyone’s jewelry collection!!!
