BN59-01259E Remote for Samsung

i love when things work the way they're supposed to, and this does.the original remote suddenly stopped working except for turning the tv on/off. i spent around an hour trying to get the original remote to work - changed the batteries to new ones, tried with the awkward button on the back - all while the tv was stuck on some weird channel and at high volume. finally went to amazon and looked thru lots of reviews; decided on this one and ordered with overnight delivery.when it arrived, i put in 2 batteries and IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY. it connected to the tv automatically, all the buttons work, etc. i like that it's exactly the same as the original remote. an easy, functional tv remote - exactly what i wanted.

Our previous remote had been dropped numerous times and was on its last leg. The remote arrived quickly and is working great!

when i purchased this remote, i expected it to be OEM product, it most definitely is NOT!!!! if you are looking for OEM, buy direct from samsung.that being said, i bought this remote to replace my lost OEM remote, but a few days later i found the OEM remote!so my little sister who was begging me to find her a universal IR remote that looks like my bluetooth remote is now getting an early christmas present. she is happy, i am happy, everyone is happy. i have never been stoked to recieve a knock off before, yet here i am.the quality is impeccable, its nearly impossible to tell this apart from the factory remote. it works flawlessly too (with the tv only, the universal stuff doesnt work).no need to pair it, just point and click.im very pleased that this was a knock off.

My TV came with the button style infrared remote. Not only is this one easier to use, it is way faster. I think it’s because of the Bluetooth.Also it was a good deal.

Our remote has been broken for so long I didn’t even think of a replacement. I’m so glad my husband did, this didn’t even need to be programmed it just worked right away. Perfect!

I purchased this remote to replace a model number BN59-01241A Samsung Smart Remote (pictured on the left) which the description said was compatible. For the most part, it is. Everything worked, even the volume control for a Samsung sound bar I use. The issue I ran into wasn’t the TV, but the other devices plugged into it.The original Samsung smart remote seamlessly worked with my Apple TV and Samsung DVD player without any setup, this replacement controller did not. Fortunately, after some searching in the Apple TV settings, I was able to program the remote to work like my original Samsung one. The DVD player does not appear to have that feature. I use the DVD player very little, so needing a second remote isn’t a huge deal, but is a minor pain and ruins the ultimate dream to have one simple remote for everything.So, if you are looking for a remote to operate your TV, this was a solid, cost effective option for myself. The quality is just as a good as the original, I actually prefer it, but just note, that some devices that plug into your TV may require setup or may not even work depending on your current remote model.One last thing to note, my original remote came with a microphone button, this one does not. I never used it, so didn’t mind, but if you use that feature, this is likely not the remote for you.
