How much water does this hold?

It seems to be about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons.

We have one exactly like this but there are four small led lights at the top. the light have stopped working - are they replaceable?

Can i replace ac pump with solar panel kit? if so, any advice re: power of solar powered pump?

I bought a 1.8 Watt Solar Power Water Pump Garden Fountain Submersible Pump from "Winterworm." It came with cable and a solar panel. If you have direct sun, it will work while the sun is more or less overhead. If you want it to work when the sun is lower, you'll need to buy some more panels, orient them toward the rising and setting sun, and wire them together. In the latest version of the fountain, the pump runs off a 12-volt transformer, so I replaced my fountain (whose red color was peeling) with one of those so that any creature that eats through the wire won't get killed.

How can you replace the lights at the top ?
