I like this saw because it is powerful to handle good size trees. I also like the brushless motor for longevity. The chain has a tendency to jump off the track of the bar if it isn't installed right. After a few cuts a thermal cutoff switch engages and then the saw will not run. Just let it cool for a few minutes then it will run. Plus it is heavier than most chain saws. I would bump my rating up to a 5 if it didn't have the constant overheating issue. It appears to be a design issue.

This is my first chainsaw. I’m a woman that lives alone and I have 5 acres, mostly forest and I decided to use my wood burning boiler to heat my house this year so I had a lot of down trees I needed to cut up to burn. I had never used a chainsaw in my life but knew I wanted battery powered one for weight, maintenance, ease of use and this chainsaw was perfect, especially for the price. The battery life exceeded my expectations but I must admit they were not high. The chainsaw it’s a great weight for me to carry around the yard and use with ease and it definitely gets the job done. The only complaint I do have which is why it’s only 4 stars is that it will suddenly stop working for several minutes then start up again. Sometimes this happens before I make any cut, sometimes this happens after one cut and sometimes this happens after 15 cuts. When it happens after several cuts I’m assuming it needs a few min to cook down so that’s not a big deal but it’s very frustrating when it happens right when I start working. I don’t know if this is just my chainsaw or if it’s a problem with all of them but it would definitely have a 5 star rating if that was not an issue. I did also buy the replacement blades that Amazon suggested with this saw without really knowing anything about it and they did not fit so make sure you get the correct replacement blade. I’ve only had it for a few weeks however I use it several days a week. Even with the issue I have with having to wait 10 min sometimes before it will start again, I would definitely buy again.

Easy enough to use. Pretty quite. Cuts good. Heavy, but has two batteries that adds weight. Oil leaks from either the adjustment screw or oil cap. No chain brake which is a major safety issue. It does have a plastic screw on piece in front of top handle, not a brake. Required since 1995. Also can't find replacement chain to fit.

I purchased this for me, a 68 year old widow. It looks good and I was able to cut a small branch. It is heavier than I thought but if I take my time. It will be very useful to me.

The black cover that holds the bar and chain on cracked first use. Can no longer tighten chain.

Battery life for hours of trimming and cuts really good.
