Works a treat!!
I’m doing an in fish cycle in my new tank and unfortunately due to wrong advice from my local pet shop, I’ve put a few too many fish. I’ve ended battling against high nitrate levels and doing 50% water change every day to keep the water chemistry at acceptable levels. I’ve tried Fluval Biological enhancer which made no noticeable difference. I thought I give Prime a go after reading lots of rave reviews! I now understand why. 24hrs after applying a good dose of this, my nitrite levels have been near 0. Although Prime only combats Nitrite and Ammonia levels temporarily (I think 48hrs) it will certainly get me through until my cycle is complete and certainly will decrease my frequency of 50% water change! This stuff is highly concentrated!! 5ml per 200litres!! I have a aqua nano 55litre tank. A full tank dose is only around 1.4ml! Yes that’s right 1.4ml! To get around the problem of measuring such a small dose, I use a syringe, the ones you get with Capol. Works a treat and 500ml will last me a very long time! Certainly recommend this over everything else.

WORKS LIKE A CHARM
I don't usually review, but think I need to as I was dubious before buying. So to set the scene, I have pre-cured dry rock for 3 months - got a new tank and then done a very small cycle (due to cured rock). Everything going well fish were added. A few days later noticed the ammonia (NH3 only) went going up and up on my seneye. Not knowing why i obviously started to panic, got a bottle of Prime (to detoxify whilst battling the ammonia) and this Stability product which i added as described on the bottle.Turns out my RO system was allowing out a large proportion of solids, chlorine and chloramine kill beneficial bacteria and this is what caused the die off. The Prime sorted that too but it was too late. Anyway...Dosing with this my ammonia eventually stopped rising at 0.145 (on my seneye - so this is NH3 only, free ammonia). And then started creeping down. Within 6 days my ammonia has come down to 0.002 and no nitrites are registering either - basically fully cycled (again) in this time. I would REALLY recommend this for any startup, or emergency - hand in hand with Prime honestly, i dont think my fish would have survived this.I have 7 BIG fish in a 1000l tank (marine) - not one casualty due to quick action with this!

If using for detoxifying ammonia - read on!
Prime is great stuff, yes it's not cheap but it's very concentrated. I have since moved to Safe which is even MORE concentrated, but they do the same thing.I just wanted to help people using it for ammonia and still getting a high ammonia reading after treatment. All Seachem products which detoxify ammonia do so to the free ammonia. Most of our tests kits test total ammonia. If you want to accurately check how much of the toxic free ammonia remains, get yourself the MultiTest Ammonia (Free & Total) from Seachem. The test seems a bit of a faff at first, but it's proven invaluable for me at the moment as my once mature filter seems to have crashed and I am struggling through a fish-in cycle as a result.I can tell you these products work as I can see from the behaviour of my fish. But, as I have said, you need to test for the Free Ammonia levels after dosing to get a true reflection of how it is working.

Amazing water treatment that will save your fish from ammonia.
An essential water treatment that binds ammonia for 48 hours making it harmless to your fish. It does not remove ammonia it just makes it harmless, I used in conjunction with Seachem Stability (good bacteria) when first setting up my tank. You can use up to 5 times the dose (I've not needed to do that) for ammonia spikes or you can use it to keep the ammonia at bay. It's highly concentrated and starts working immediately. I honestly do not know what I would've done without this amazing treatment. Totally recommend.

Economical, Concentrated and works really well
Found this to be the most economical water conditioner so far. As well as removing chlorine from the water it also has the ability to remove heavy metals. Comes in very handy during ammonia/nitrite spikes, with the ability to bind both ammonia and nitrites making them easier/safer for the filters to remove.Fish seem much happier after switching to this water conditioner. Promotes slime coat on the fish. Only need to use 1/2 a capfull in my 120l tank, so provides a few years use. Definitely aids in keeping the water parameters correct. Was recommended by a friend. Very impressed during my usage of Prime during the past few months. Would recommend for aquarium keepers, water parameters have never been so stable.

Do Not trust this product, it's proved deadly to my fish
Used for the first time on Thurs (3 days ago) fish started dying Friday morning. Did water tests for Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm and Nitrate 5ppm (prob from dying fish) did 50% water change still fish dying. Used a test strip that measures Chlorine/Chloromine and got reading of 0.12, appears chlorine spikes that conditioner is meant to neutralise killed 9 fish. Was using 5ml per 25Ltr of clean water, way above the min recommended dose.Had to rush out and by fluval water conditioner to stabilise tank. This is either a bad batch, a contaminated batch of just doesn't do the job it says it does. Also happens that 1st time I used was/is just out with the moneyback/return period.I'll never use seachem products again, ever.

The best dechlorinator on the market bar none!!
This is the best dechlorinator on the market bar none. It is amazing value for money as you need so little of it. 1 cap full will treat 200L of water, but you can use more (upto 5x normal does) in an emergency if you need get your nitrite levels down. I have a 180L tank and a 250ml bottle of this stuff lasted me for months. It's the only one I will consider using now.
