Freud DS0908CF Steel Demon Carbide-Tipped Reciprocating Blades for Thick Metal Cutting, 9"

This blade is an absolute monster. It cuts incredibly well and seems to last for ever. I was doing a brake job on a Mazda 3 where the rotors were horribly rusted. I cut the rotors off using this blade. It chewed through them, all 4. Then after still had life left so I dismantled an entire deck worth of nails with it. It lost a bunch of teeth on the deck, but still got the job done. Absolutely amazing.

Just the job, way better than previous blades used ( Bosch ) !

Cut through 1 inch solid steel in less than 30 seconds. Zero damage to the teeth. Amazed!! Diablo ftw!!!

Best recip blade I have ever used. It is well worth the extra money. I use it for demolition, and it lasted far longer than any other blade. It is course enough to cut through wood and still melts through nails with ease. Due to it having more teeth per inch than your average wood recip blade, it dosen't cut as fast through wood, but it is still comparable in speed. GET THIS BLADE!!!

I bought this specifically to shorten a post on my trailer. Had a second hand trailer made for a much bigger boat and the winch was too high. I initially looked at buying a new hitch post, then figured what would I do with the old one. So decided to see if my Sawzall could handle the job. Through review searches this blade is supposed cutting through 2” hitch balls etc. For under $20 I figured I’d try it. Well, it took less than a minute to smoothly cut through the rectangular frame. It didn’t even catch hard spots or buck. It was about as smooth as a cut as I’ve done with the reciprocating saw. Needless to say trailer post is cut to spec and now functions perfectly. The blade lost some paint going through three cuts into the galvanized steel frame, but blade and teeth looks like new still.
