caught my mirror when I slid on some ice. Replacing this unit should have been a 10 minute procedure, but General Motors put the connector down in the middle of the door frame and turned that into a 2 hour procedure that required stripping the door panels and a mounting bracket. Quality of the product is very good and no issues with operation is noted. Fit was very good and the item is a good match to OEM units costing 2 or 3 times as much.

First class quality product. Even came nicely packaged. There were no instructions, but I spent some time on YouTube and found at least three different ways to install it. Gathered my tools, took a deep breath, and 37 minutes later I was done. Now the test, does it work? The electrical adjustment moves quietly and properly to the full range both left and right and up and down. The heat function also got rid of the ice the next morning. The only issue is it only comes in black and doesn’t match the mirror on the other side. But who looks at both sides at once? Since the part on my other side is painted only on the top half and that half is the last piece you put on it would’ve been easy to paint it. Still can if my wife complains. I chose the Dorman product because of their reputation for quality. This part was made in Taiwan, not China. I’m thinking of changing the other side just to get rid of the old scratched up mirror, and to make the two match.
