Land Healer : Fiennes, Jake: desertcart.ae: Books Review: Fantastic book! As someone who has been brought up in farming living in on our small family farm it’s refreshing to read so much common sense and can do attitude for farming and conservation. Jake clearly knows his stuff and I’m sure any landowner or farmer reading this who has also learnt through ‘muddy boots’. One thing I’ve learnt growing up around farmers is they hate being patronised and fed nonsense from politicians or conservationists with and agenda. Give them the tools and support and they will make it work. This book really does go along way to helping the reader understand what our countryside needs to be both profitable and environmentally sustainable. Well done Jake!! Review: This book is an impressive blue print towards better farming practices without hurting nature. It makes a deal of sense that any one concerned with countryside problems would welcome such an intervention from a person who putting his knowledge into the land he is managing. Mr Fiennes passion comes out in every page turned, taking one on his journey to heal what been broken. It is a book that inspires one to have faith that all is possible to reserve the damage done. A good read for all, whether surrounded by the riches of the British countryside or simply visiting it from urban habitat.

Well written, about the author's life intertwined with practical solutions to protecting our wildlife, preserving what we have and encouraging sustainable regenerative farming. This guy has done it, proved it and continues to prove the worth of this approach on a grand scale. Land Healer is an apt title for an insightful book. A book which you will go back to again and again for ways to help our land recover for all sizes from gardens to farmlands and large estates. Intuitive and inspiring.

An interesting book which gives real examples of when you get the right balance between Agriculture and Conservation much can be achieved. I enjoyed reading the book.

A great book. Simple ways to save the country side, soak up CO2 and still have a productive, economically viable farm. Personally, when I next top our paddocks, I will leave a margin for wild flowers and wild life. I will also try to improve our hedges for wildlife.
