Lovely
Fits my queen size bed beautifully with a perfect overhang. Top quality. The smooth fabric is a bit thin, but I like that actually. I have a pink blanket under it and the bedspread has a slight shade of pink to it because of that, but the chenille part is white so it really looks beautiful. I a very happy with the purchase. The shams are sold separately but still for the price it is a very good quality. I have not washed it yet, but according to the reviews it washes great.

Love This Gold Bedspread
Beautiful bedspread! Soft, just the right weight for us, gorgeous gold color. Everything I had hoped it would be and for a great price too !I washed and dried it and it came out nice and fluffy. There were no chemical smells or anything, I wash everything before it’s first use.

A bed cover that actually covers the whole bed
Beautiful and soft bedcover. The size fits my bed perfectly and the color, sage, b is most appealing. Excellent value.

Very thin, likely not long-lasting, but lovely
This is very thin material. You will need an opaque white layer right under it if you have colored or patterned sheets. Also, after only a couple of months and 1 washing I see a little tear. Nevertheless, I love it. The overall pattern is lovely and the "fuzzy" chenille bits are just what I wanted. It doesn't pull or make lint. The fringe is "finished", not fuzzy or coming apart. Width is just right (hangs to a couple of inches from floor), ditto length (will cover over pillows if desired). Basically, it looks more expensive than it is, and worth it even if you have to replace in 3-5 years

As good as you're hoping!
I had to write this review because I rely heavily on other people's reviews. That said, I'll begin by saying that I just received my chenille bedspread and I'm 100% happy with my purchase. I smiled hugely when I opened the box because, although I was slightly anxious when I ordered it because of the reviews that dealt with size and thickness (or thinness), I knew immediately that I had made the right decision.(1) This is truly a vintage-inspired bedspread -- just like Grammy used to have. I was slightly concerned because the picture makes it look puffy. It's not.(2) It's thin but not in a cheap way. You can see through the non-embellished parts to the same degree you can see through quality, unlined, white linen pants. If you're not wearing a leopard print thong underneath, you're fine. (Ladies, you know what I'm talking about.) One of the pictures shows my hand under the bedspread, so you can see for yourself.(3) I love the fringe! The picture makes it look as though a separate piece was sewn on. This is not the case. The fringe is an extension of the bedspread, as it should be.(4) Here, I will explain the size in detail. The king spread claims it's 118x120. I didn't measure it; however, if you look at my pictures, you can determine whether or not it will work for you. I have a king (76"x80") Saatva bed with a 14.5" mattress and an 8.75" foundation. Combined with the frame, which is 8" from the floor, my bed sits about 33+" high. (I know that's higher than the math would tell you, but it is what it is.) You can see in my pics that the king spread hits the bed frame. Since I haven't found a bigger spread, this is fine with me. I will be ordering a bedskirt. No big deal.(5) Shams. Again, as you can see in my pictures, you do not need shams. If you place the spread evenly on the bed so that it hits the frame in the same place all the way around, you have more than enough to cover your pillows. Of course, if you want them as decorative accents, go for it.(6) Lint. I don't know what some others are referring to, but it doesn't appear to be extraordinarily linty. I shook it out, put it on, no issues. Maybe after washing, there'll be lots of lint in the dryer. We'll see. I wanted to put it on first so that I could take pictures and help others make their decision, since my search for a quality, inexpensive bedspread took more than 3 weeks.I hope this was helpful. I can't imagine anyone being unhappy with this beautiful bedspread.

Defective
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this bedspread. I love the weight of it. It’s a perfect summertime and springtime bedspread. I love the soft pink hue. The color is perfect. Exactly what I wanted. I love the size of it. I think it looks excellent in this room. The reason I gave it a three star rating is because It’s a defect. It has a line of Chenille going vertically all the way through it about 4 inches off the center. It is going to drive me crazy. I live out in the country and don’t wanna deal with returns to an Amazon drop off point. So I’m just going to have to live with it. But if I’m gonna be sold a defective product I should get defective product pricing.

Better than expected
I love the whole retro / "shabby chic" aesthetic and had been looking for an old fashioned chenille bedspread for some time.I wanted something cotton, machine washable, and would stand up to cats and dogs that like to crawl into bed with their humans at night. This bedspread fits the bill perfectly.Pros: Machine washable in front load machine on delicate cycle. (I use "eco warm" temperature but cold is recommended). Dry on "extra low" or low temperature and keep an eye on it. It does shed a bit in the dryer, but as long as it has room to move around and/or you use low heat you can minimize the shedding /pilling.It's long enough to cover a king sized memory foam mattress and it does drape to the floor. The base fabric is a tightly woven cotton - like a tablecloth or perhaps a lightweight denim weave. It is very forgiving of pet nails / claws.I purchased the grey. It's a very light cool toned silver. Matches a room decorated in light (robins egg) blue and beige tones. It IS lightweight, and because it's cotton it is breathable.Cons: It wrinkles. You can give it a quick spray with some fabric freshener / spray wrinkle release if needed, but it's not going to look as crisp and finished as other products available at a higher price point. It does have a bit of an odor when you first remove the packaging. The odor faded after the first wash, and continued to fade after the first week of use. (My guess, it's a treatment to prevent insects and mold while the item is in transit from the manufacturer to the US).The "chenille" is not the same as what I remember from the 1970s, but it's pretty darn close when viewed at a distance. It really is a nice deal for the price point.I
