Helpful Protection
My GF works in a building that has federal offices in it but the parking lot is on a public street and unfortunately they do little to chase away the more sketchy city dwellers. They no longer allow employees to carry a knife, petter spray, tear gas or any form of personal defense item regardless of the dangers in the parking lot. It’s also a rainy area. So I bought her a good quality, wind resistant umbrella with a nice metal tip. It’s allowed as a personal item and not considered a weapon so she has both rain and personal protection while following the rules. It’s high quality and she likes it a lot.

Great buy. I would definitely by it again.
I just received my UZI Umbrella. Just as described and very sturdy. This is collapsible, so it’s not going to be unbreakable like the 36” one, but it’ll definitely do the job. It opens strong and sturdy. Great packable umbrella for the EDC bag. I would be it again.

Hell yeah
This umbrella is great--and not just as a weapon. It is an incredibly sturdy umbrella. I also like the fact that it is indeed a weapon. It's really easy to remove the cover on the top, which reveals a giant metal spike--on your umbrella! Why do you need an umbrella that is also a weapon? I mean, why not? Why buy normal gloves when you can buy gloves that are filled with lead? Why buy a normal cane when you can buy a cane that has a sword in it? Why buy a normal comb when you can buy a comb that has a knife secreted inside? Why carry your keys on a normal keychain when you can carry them on a keychain that also has a small club attached? Why live a normal, boring, sedate suburban life when you can live a life surrounded by cool and interesting weapons and violent little gadgets, just like you dreamed about when you were a young boy? Just buy the umbrella, it rules.

Comparable to Unbreakable umbrella
I had an Unbreakable walking stick umbrella that I unfortunately misplaced while outside so rather than shell out that much for another one I decided to see what was comparable here on Amazon. This is a third the price but comparable build quality. In fact the ribs for the canopy skeleton are even higher quality because the fiberglass ribs are thicker than what was on the unbreakable model I had. That's probably not likely to be a problem area though. The weak point is where the plastic connectors attach to the fiberglass ribs. If you get a sharp pull on the umbrella at an angle that flips one side up hard first rather than the whole thing that plastic is what will fail. I managed to do that on my unbreakable model while testing it when i did a baseball swing on it with the canopy deployed. It inverted the umbrella as expected but that was when the plastic connector broke. Was no big deal because that umbrella had a 5 year warranty on everything but the canopy fabric and they reimbursed me on the shipping to repair it. If that happens on this umbrella you're out of luck since I doubt many people would be able to DIY a repair on that. The fiberglass shaft on this one is rated for 220 lbs. unbreakable is 310. Unbreakable canopy is dual layered and has a UV protectant coating and this one does not. Now the umbrella tip and the price is where the big difference comes in. The tip on this one is much more aggressive and can do some serious damage. The one on the unbreakable model was rounded steel so less effective for defense than this but more subtle so easier to pass through security checks such as airports. The included hard plastic cap that this comes with slips off a little too easy for my liking so what i did was rolled some blue painters tape in a loop and stuck it to the inside of the cap to take up that little extra space and now it fits pretty snugly. You can get replacement canopies for the unbreakable model but for what they cost you could just purchase a new one of these. Still have yet to try it out in the rain but so far I'm liking the value proposition on this one if you are leaning more towards the value and defensive side of things while still getting a sturdy umbrella that isn't going in the trash the first time it gets inverted like the cheap ones at local retailers. Tip is better, umbrella is cheaper, and it is not as big of a loss if you lose it. If they made the joints out of fiberglass as well and used a thicker UV resistant canopy and sold it as a replacement part for when it wears out at a decent price they could easily charge double what this costs now and it would be worth it.

Better than I thought it would be, for the price.
I am satisfied with the overall quality of this umbrella. I tested it in tornado weather this last Easter Sunday, when we had a tornado passing over us, in NE Arkansas, on 04/20/2025. I'm sincerely impressed that the structure of the umbrella. It didn't even flinch in the face of driving rain. The self defense aspects of the umbrella are, as if yet untested, but I'm optimistic about the tungsten tip and baton handle. I'm glad that I purchased this particular umbrella. It servers my umbrella needs, and then some. I would buy it again, if this one even wears out in my lifetime.

Happy with tactical umbrella, not happy with umbrella cover all in all would buy again
Very pleased with the quality of the umbrella, surprised that it came with a cover with a strap, but happy, still happy with an umbrella, but first time threw the umbrella over my shoulder with the external strap on the umbrella cover it pulled out of the top end of umbrella otherwise happy cover showed poorly, but still happy with my purchase

Excellent Tactical Umbrella
It feels very tough and very sturdy so it won't break easy. The handle, tip and body feels very solid and made from string material. It weighs more than your average umbrella so very good metallic material. Great for self defense as it is very tactical. The umbrella is big enough for two people too. Well worth the 40 dollars.

Heavy duty.
This is the umbrella one would want to stay dry. It is also the umbrella one would want if he were surprised by an assailant in a dark alley. I put a cane tip on mine. It functions as a cane very well. The tip cover comes off easily to expose a sharp, heavy, metal point. Quite nice. PW
