Excellent dye with strong colors. Works well with water but not with paint thinner. So, sanding required to knock down raised fibers (wood) before sealing.

Honestly, great product. The only thing I would suggest is that they're very small lol. I was kinda surprised how small the vials were. But, they do mix a lot of product for their size.

This lacquer tinting kit was perfect for the telecaster guitar my husband built. He was wanting to paint it that "vintage blonde" color and had the hardest time finding a tinted lacquer supplier. After scouring several guitar building forums he settled on this set because of the best value. He loves that he can make virtually any color with it and a couple drops go a long way. What keeps him from giving it 5 stars is that it did not include white which is a pretty necessary color for mixing purposes. Overall it's a great value though and he's already been able to use it a couple times.
