Art Nouveau: An Anthology of Design and Illustration from "The Studio" (Dover Pictorial Archive)

Another great Dover collection. I have had a copy of this since the 1980’s and is using the new one to replace my old one before it falls apart. Tons of beautiful Art Nouveau illustrations for the artist and craftsman! I have used many of these illustrations for mixed media, with calligraphy illustrations, and in wood burning.You just can’t go wrong with Dover Books!

This book is lovely!! Great for referencing as well as very nice just to look through!

Fairly bland book with no comments, just pages of what looks like wallpaper patterns.

This book is wonderful, my only complaints are that it doesn't have every letter of the alphabet - they tease you with only a few of them! And I would have loved some color images, but other than that, great buy for the price!

This book is excellent for artists who want to add an art nouveau touch to their work. It is in black & white, so you have to use your imagination and creativity. There are a variety of sizes and styles, from full page illustrations to borders to small stylized florals. If you do graphic or stylized art, you could probably find inspiration here.

This book is absolutely amazing! Definitely worth it!

Libro in linea con il prezzo....bianco e nero, poca definizione del 1969 rieditato nel 2020. Se lo avesse visto in libreria non l'avrei comprato.

Le contenu de cet ouvrage est fantastique pour toute personne passionnée par l'Art Nouveau! De très belles pièces variées de différents artistes.La couverture n'est pas de première fraicheur mais le livre reste convenable et cela n'enlève pas l'intérêt du contenu.

Beautiful and helpful reference book

I’m a tattoo artist and I’m always on the lookout for great pictorial/reference books.I enjoy that I can focus on the line work aspect with this book to grasp how dramatic and whimsical the lines are in the art nouveau style. There are some images, however, that aren’t visually informative and/or serve little to no purpose for MY needs as a tattooist.Overall this book does contain some useful visual information but I doubt it’ll pass as a staple book in my collection.
