Good Quality, Excellent Value
I've tried lots of ball heads, both expensive and cheap. This is the best inexpensive one I've found so far, and capable of handling a big camera rig easily. Many of the cheap heads work ok, but are clearly designed for smaller cameras. This one has a double locking mech that holds steadily even with a big camera and long lens on it. You can use one knob to adjust friction and the other to lock. Or, tighten both down to hold things firmly. Very nice. Movement is pretty smooth - not buttery like a $150 Manfrotto of course, but you can't expect that. Still, better than most. There's a separate knob to lock the panning, which I like. YMMV. The Arca mount is also solid and moves smoothly. (Bonus: comes with a nice 60mm mounting plate. More versatile than the usual 50mm ones.) This ball head is the best you can get for less than $50 and the equal of many at $100 or more. Highly recommended.

Reliable and Versatile Tripod Ball Head for Family Photography
As a parent who loves capturing family moments, the Neewer 36MM Tripod Ball Head has been a game-changer for us. Its 360-degree rotation allows me to quickly adjust my camera to catch candid shots of the kids, whether they're playing in the yard or blowing out birthday candles. The sturdy metal build gives me confidence that my camera is secure, even when I'm multitasking during family gatherings. One weekend, we set up a DIY family photo shoot in our living room. With this ball head's smooth movement, I easily switched between landscape and portrait orientations, capturing both group photos and individual portraits without missing a beat. The quick-release plate made it simple to detach the camera for spontaneous handheld shots when the kids started getting playful. This tripod ball head has truly enhanced our family photography sessions, making it easier to preserve those precious memories.

GREAT for the price; has some flaws I can overlook
First, the great: * it has separate friction and lock knobs for the ball * The ball head has a panning feature which allows the ball to remain locked * It holds the camera in position easily and securely - even my DSLR with long lenses and a second battery, filters, and flash installed * It uses arca-swiss plates * The included plate has screws installed to prevent the plate from sliding out if the plate retaining screw isn't tightened enough Now, the flaws: * The panning feature works poorly in freezing weather (heavy grease used during assembly?) * The instructions mis-identify some of the adjustment knobs, which will cause newbies to think it's defective and return it * The instructions do not explain how to properly preset the friction level of the ballhead, which will cause newbies to think it's defective and return it (if you're a n00b, there are great youtube howtos and reddit threads explaining how to dial ballhead friction levels in) * The tripod does not come with adapters for the bottom screw hole Because these flaws come more down to nitpicking and included instructions rather than the product itself, I'm not deducting any stars in this case; most ballheads include equally crappy instructions. Apart from the heavy grease which makes panning require more effort out in the cold, I'm extremely happy with this ball head The application I'm using this for is for a gopro mount for youtube videos, but I'm considering ordering a new carbon-fiber tripod from this brand for use with my DSLR as I've long wanted an upgrade, and this product is overall pretty good and solid. I'm also considering ordering another ballhead from this brand to upgrade the ballhead on my current aluminum tripod.

Super sturdy!
Got this to attach my camera to C-stands for overhead shots. It screws into the end of the boom arm very securely. Being able to adjust it between the ball head and 360 panorama makes it perfect for this use. Adjusting the ball head is super simple and it holds a 3lb camera/lens combo in place extremely well in any position. The buble level is a nice addition. That being said, it loses 1 star for the rubber on the knobs slipping and coming off after the first use (plan to get some rubber cement to see if that helps). It makes it tough to adjust when you can't grip the knobs right. Also, when it tilts fully up (into that groove), the knob that screws the camera onto the plate presses against the tripod head, making it so the you have to adjust the head to get the camera off and it doesn't sit entirely level at that angle. For the price it still works well for my use and I would recommend it. Just with the knob grips would stay in place.

Worth the price
No issues with the seller. The product came new in box. It's heavy, but I like that for durability and sturdiness. I have yet to use it, but I have owned a couple of Neewer products already and have been satisfied. I read some reviews mention this product is pricey; I don't know why. The price is reasonable considering this is a ball joint head. It's flexible for all photography levels, so I'd say this is a very reasonable price point.

Sturdy
This thing is chonky, I've got a couple of ballheads already but this one is physically larger. It works for what I need but keep in mind that this may be larger than your current ballhead. Use wise this thing works great, love that it came with an adapter for other sized mounts too. Using this with a full frame camera and it feels sturdy and when locked in doesn't move or shift. All around a great product.

Works well, good value.
The ball head works using my Tamron 150-500 lens and provides the stability I wanted to achieve when attached to a monopod. It takes some practice getting the tension knobs adjusted correctly to allow smooth movement when tracking birds, but for an older person like me that now finds hand holding a heavy telephoto lens more difficult, it was good investment. The unit is well made and the rubber knurled twist knobs provide good grip. The price is very reasonable for a well made product.
