Psyclone Tents for Family Camping, Glamping, Hiking and Festival

I have been looking at these bell type tents for over a year now, having a large nylon Tee Pee tent I grew fond of having the space to stand up and walk around in the tent but I wanted something more substantial to better stand up to rough weather. This tent fits a double high queen air mattress a good sized table and chairs and all our stuff with plenty of room to walk all around upright and space to spare. Although it's just for my wife and me, you could easily and comfortably accommodate a family of 5 in it. As someone that has over 50 years camping experience, makes and repairs tents, flies and other camping gear I have a good eye for quality, this tent has a high level of quality and craftsmanship built in. The tent has #10 YKK zippers on the door with metal pulls that operate smoothly and solidly. The polycotton canvas seems more substantial than 100% cotton canvas and I noticed that during the 2 rain storms we've had since putting it up, there is very little sag in the fabric when wet as compared to standard canvas, and not a leak or drip anywhere. The windows have 2 zipper pulls so you can open them 3” or 4” from the top for ventilation and not get rain in. They don't even mention in the ad that it has a fire and mold retardant treatment, something the others charge extra for. The lines are heavy 1/4” line with a silver reflective woven in and substantial tensioning hardware. The stakes look to be 3/8” coated Steel, not something you could bend easily. I like that it doesn't come with a stove jack in it, If I want to put my stove in it I will put it where I want it to be to fit my stove and usage. All the tie outs are double sewn and tied into reinforced joints. Solid all the way around. Somehow the peak vents stay open even in rain and wind. This tent is much more than I expected and, I think much more and perhaps better than equal sized and type of tents selling for hundreds more. I'm very happy. Update - 10/2021 We have had this tent now for 2 1/2 years and have no problems and are still very happy with the decision to purchase the Psyclone tent. There are a few improvements I have made that I would like to share. The rubber suction cup things on the ends of the poles don't work very well. I removed both of them and screwed a piece of wooden dowel in the ends (to get rid of the sharp inner edges) and attached a heavy plastic cup to the top of the pole (see photo, I used the inner bullet-shaped part from the air filter from my E250 Ford van that fit perfectly in the canvas pocket in the peak of the tent, you could also use a rounded 3" PVC end cap) this will distribute the stress evenly around the pocket. For the bottom of the pole, I made an 8" plywood disc, glued some scrap carpet on the bottom and a ring of PVC to the top of the disc. (see photo) Now when putting up the pole, after engaging the peak, I put the bottom of the pole in the plywood disc and can easily slide the pole into the upright position and adjust it with ease without having to lift it each time to move it. This also protects your vinyl floor. The other biggie I did was eliminate the center door guyline by making a small tarp arrangement to hold the door poles up and protect the opened door from any rain and make going in and out easy. The photo shows it all. I love this tent! Buy one, you won't regret it! Update - 9/22 We are still loving this tent, by far the best tent I have ever had. We camp of 3 to 4 weeks a year during the cool months here on the East coast of central FL, last March we camped through a week of rain with some very intense storms with winds gusts approaching 50 mph, the tent sailed right through without ant problems and vary a drop of water inside. A couple time there has water pooling up to 3" deep outside to low side of the tent, still non leaked inside. Oops, sorry about that last photo, that's from the other side of the family! Update, 1/23 We are still loving this tent! Recently my wife developed some lower back issues that made sleeping on the air mattress uncomfortable but was fine on the hammock between the trees outside so I bought one of those steel framed hammocks to see if it would fit in the Bell tent and it did with room to spare for her bedside table, even our camping kitty loved it! (see photos) One big addition to our Mr.Heater Buddy was a metal grate to heat water on and the purchase of a thermal electric fan to use on it to move around and even out the heated air in the tent. I was surprised how well it worked. running on low (4000 BTU s) when it was in the mid 30s outside it keep the tent around 60 degrees inside, great sleeping temp. In colder temps I can run it on high (9000 BTU s) but it would use more propane, I can run the heater on low every night for a week on one 20lb tank. (I bring two tanks just in case) We couldn't be more comfortable and accommodated than in this tent, it is like of having a small cabin!

We bought this for the all season functionality of it and we are not disappointed! We set it up in advance and did some weatherproofing on it by spraying it with water & letting it air dry. It's very spacious and my fiance is actually able to put it up all by himself, with very minimal assistance from me just to help put the center pole in place. We were able to fit our double queen air mattress, full size cooler, all our bags and a small dog crate for our mini schnauzer inside with room to spare. We've only taken it camping once so far (last hurrah before our son was born) but we're looking forward to having family camping trips in the future once he's old enough! I love the design of all the windows, really allows the air to flow through well. Two fans helped to circulate the air during the hotter nights and I do believe a single space heater will keep it very cozy during colder nights. The one and only thing I don't like about it is the single guy line that comes straight out from the front, in the middle of the tent opening. I constantly run into it lol but I put some fairy lights on it to help me see it better. I wish there were 2 separate guy lines that came from the front that would split outward so the opening directly in front would be clear. Other than that, absolutely no complaints! My 6 foot fiance is able to stand up completely straight with room above! Great value, great quality all around.

We love the quality and craftsmanship of this tent, however when we put it up we realized it was too small and we want a bigger size (5m) When we contacted the seller -as directed - they were not helpful, and wouldn’t provide a pre-paid postage. This tent weights approximately 70lbs!!!! Can we just take it to our local Kohl’s to return? Please advise.....

Have owned and used this tent for 4 years. It's always helped to create some wonderful memories. There is just nothing like sleeping under the vast amount of canvas. Over time I purchased the tent cover directly from Psyclone Tents USA to protect the tent from tree litter and it definitely keeps it dry should there be rain. The tent is totally water proof--but if you have the cover, you are not taking down a soaking wet tent at the end of your trip! I also purchased the extra interior adjustable roof pole to eliminate the peg and line in the front of the tent. We have used this tent to entertain for a family gathering where we placed a couch and furniture inside for a fun fall back yard event. People loved it. Of course, I had to purchase a chandelier for the center pole to complete the glamping experience. I am a 60 plus y/o female and I have set this tent up solo. I have also taken it down, rolled it up and fit it back into its bag-solo. Admittedly I do struggle a bit with the center pole...but with patience I am able to walk it into the center of the floor. I will be using it again this summer. It's a wonderful tent! Durable, sturdy, but it's the atmosphere that you experience-- that huge dome of canvas and the airiness and the calm all of that evokes...that just cannot be described well enough and cannot be duplicated in a nylon tent or even a cabin canvas tent. There's something special about a bell tent! Psyclone makes an excellent product. It's an Australian Company and you can have confidence that they produce a well made tent and also stand behind their product.

I've been wanting to purchase a bell tent for a while, so I decided to purchase this one. By far, it has been great! It's very spacious in the inside, (which I wasn't sure how much it could fit). It was easy to setup and the instructions are very clear, we probably were able to set it up in 20 minutes. The material are very durable, and of high quality. I like the zippers, they are very strong and slide quite easy. The best part of the inside is that it has windows that can let air bent the inside, so it doesn't get too hot. The screen at the entrance is a great add on, so you can let the breeze. Absolutely perfect for us, and highly recommend getting one. We used it this easter weekend, for a party and all children quite enjoyed it. Great add on for our camping gear! Looking forward to more adventures.

I bought these for an air b and b glamping setup. I set them up at home to weather in the canvas fabric(set up and drench canvas then air dry to seal fibers) and I was very happy with the quality of the product. The canvas felt thick and almost waxy to the touch and no water got inside whatsoever after drenching it for nearly 30 minutes. The stakes are simple but heavy duty and I had no problem using a mallet to pound them into the earth, not a single bend. The instructions online and on the tent were good quality and we will be ordering treatment from psyclone tents to upkeep the tents in the future. I sew canvas boat tops as a side hustle and seeing the stitching as well as the zippers used made me pleased and not worried about the integrity of the construction. Finally, putting the tent away was easy and I did the whole process by myself. The carrying bags for the poles and tent it's self is the same high quality. Thanks guys for making such a great product! It was a huge bonus to buy from the states instead of importing it from China.

My husband I are brand new when it comes to camping, but we knew we needed a quality tent. When we started searching for tents, we found that there were a lot of retail name tents with mixed reviews. After doing a little digging, we discovered Psyclone tents. What caught our attention, was the universal praise and strong endorsements from consumers. The only bad review we found had nothing to do with the tent, but rather the customers bad experience with something unrelated to the product. We trusted our instincts, and bought a Psyclone 16’ 5M fixed floor with extra windows (priciest version). Our first camping experience was at Galveston State Park, which turned out to be a location with VERY high winds. Despite 30 mph winds and being first time campers, we had no problem setting up the tent. We’ve only been able to go camping once since we received the tent, but we absolutely love this thing. We had a minor issue with the tent we received, and Psyclone was quick to respond and resolve the issue. We can’t wait to go camping again, and we cannot recommend this company and product enough. You may pay a higher price than some of the tents you’ll see in big box stores, but this is a quality tent that is well made. If I had a chance to do it all over again, I’d still buy this tent.

We bought this tent as it says it’s for 4 seasons. We put up the tent and soaked it a few times and let it dry out to waterproof it. I then decorated it with rugs pillows and blankets. We live in the mountains and had a lot of rain and about an inch of snow and the tent was soaked inside with water and ice. Everything inside was ruined and the tent had mold on it after only 2 days after the storm. There are so many great reviews maybe this was an issue with the canvas on ours and it’s so unfortunate because it’s really a beautiful tent. Be aware if you live somewhere with more intense weather, it’s not the best for big rain storms or snow.
