When heavy rains brought water in my basement entrance, this baby absorbed all of the water, saving the rest of the basement. And the absorbant gel can be used to maintain garden moisture, so it can be repurposed after it does its job!

It definitely works, but takes 2+ weeks to dry out. As a senior I would not buy many 10’ again. They were heavy and difficult to move when wet. I also would not use them to cover a large area all at once. I should have switched them out when wet, so they could dry at different intervals.

Have used it for almost 1 year blocking rainwater from flowing into basement. Does what it supposed to do so far. Not sure how much longer it will last.

The answer to that is we do. This keeps water from creeping in where you don't want it if you are dealing with a flat surface. I use it at the entrance to my shed/garage since that area has issues when it rains hard. I am absolutely surprised by how much it keeps out of the back room. If you have more than 3 inches of water that gathers, maybe this is not a solution for you but keeping that trickle from damaging things or coming - it's working great.

I bought this years ago when a hurricane was predicted, but only used it recently due to a plumbing issue in my apartment building. It works!It absorbs slowly and won’t stop flooding water before it fully expands, but it was more effective than towels.The package says it can be saved for reuse, but mine had raw sewage on it.The ten foot one was larger than I needed indoors. I plan to buy 2 five foot barriers in case of future emergencies.

Worked perfectly to keep water out of my bedroom, which had flooded before. I would highly recommend this product. Just lay it down and it works like a charm.

I live in the desert and there are no rain gutters on my house. The few days per year that it rains, water tends to flood in front of my entry door. These work pretty well at keeping my doorway area dry. That being said, they leak gel--so they work, but make a mess. As far as being reuseable, they have to be laid out flat in the sun to dry, which takes days if not weeks. So yes, you can reuse them, but it's a big project to dry them out. Storage is a problem because of the leaking gel particles. Also, they have gone way up in price over the year.

I like this as it is moveable, with care. Yes, the filling is material that expands when water is applied. As the weather has sunny days and does not rain, this will start to shrink slightly. That is depending on rain intervals. If it rains often, this will maintain its size and ability to repel water. It won't last forever. So, order a couple. It also doesn't like to be stepped on or run over and is heavy if trying to move. Remember, internally, it is gelled water. The outer material is abrasion resistant but will cut if moved over a sharp object. This is the same material that is in the bags of garden soil that holds water for slow release. You can add it to your landscaping if mixed in with soil.This does exactly what I need it for, stopping rain water from entering the garage during a rainstorm on a newly paved driveway. I move (slide) it a lot when it is not raining, and it has held up for the past 2 months.
