Still can't believe I bought a toilet online
This is a review of the toilet and the deal itself. I received this toilet for about $350 shipped to my door, including a soft-close seat. I had a plumber involved in a bathroom remodel and he complimented the brand as having very few problems and quality construction, and complimented the deal itself. He was also impressed with the small footprint of the toilet and the fact it was shipped to me - he is now considering the same for some jobs. ... The toilet is amazingly small. I was putting this in a small bathroom, and it opened up the room without a doubt. It's not too heavy for a one-piece - easy for one person to manuever if you have some grip and back strength, as it's still awkward. The underside of the toilet does NOT have any notable recess. It essentially sits flush to the flange/ground. It was my fault for not checking the height of my flange, which fit an old toilet just fine - it was too high for this toilet. I had to put in a new, nearly flush flange. No big deal in the grand scheme of things. The toilet lid is tiny and sits on TOP of the toilet, it does not fit OVER the toilet like I was used to. It sits secure with some velcro. This is novel, and does reduce the size of the toilet look, but is unusual. The seat, when shut, is slanted forwards. Sitting on the toilet with the seat shut is a bit odd - not uncomfortable, but just odd. The seat itself is small, appropriate for the toilet, and very well constructed. The soft close seat is a bit annoying from time to time, but does exactly what it's intended to do - it won't slam. Ever. The toilet flushes quietly, fills incredibly quickly, and is overall nearly silent for a toilet. It does not 'scrub' the bowl on the first flush. I have had to flush a second time, but every-time the second flush leaves it spotless - so obviously the porcelain finish is quite fine. I put this in a bathroom refinished with medium-level materials and it fits perfectly. This is definitely not "builder-grade", looks very nice, is very quiet, fits well in small bathrooms, and is overall a great toilet. The fact you can order it shipped to your door is worth $25-50 to me in terms of convenience and was far smoother than I expected. Highly recommend this product and buying it through Amazon.

Poor flush, wastes water, clog prone
**7 year update** DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL! Dropping to 1 star. Well, we've had enough and are no longer willing to live with the concessions of these toilets. You eventually learn how to minimize the need for plunging but the "manual" clean up necessity is horrendous and I'm sick of it. Plus there is no water saved here since you need to flush twice for every use. I'm going back to a standard 1.6 GPF model that actually works so will be replacing these with the CST776CSFG#01 model which looks to be higher performing and will ironically cost less than these did in 2016. **2 year update** Well, after having 2 of these for 2 years I'm knocking 2 stars off due to this model being EXTREMELY clog prone. Sadly I have to leave a dedicated plunger by each of these as it happens often enough. Too much paper or a large "deposit" and this thing will clog, guaranteed. Disappointing because everything else seems to be well designed. VERY IMPORTANT: if you buy this toilet, your standard round rubber plunger will NOT work well due to the Toto key hole design of the drain port. All you'll get will be a splashing disgusting mess on the floor. I bought this Korky beehive model plunger which works great on this toilet. 1 push is usually all it takes and there is zero mess: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GRTD942/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 **Initial review** Well here's a review I never thought I'd write! ;-) Extremely positive experience with this model and I've purchased 2 now from Amazon. You wouldn't think it would be possible to have such a positive experience with a toilet but this product is truly fantastic. 1-piece is absolutely the way to go, I will never mess with another top tank gasket replacement again. The fill valve and flapper assembly come pre-assembled so there is nothing to do but mount to the floor and hook up the water supply. It uses very little water and performs effectively with no issues. It fills fast too and is usually full before I've finished washing my hands. The toilet will arrive via freight truck on a pallet secured with Styrofoam and cardboard. Items of note: -Cotton White will match your standard white porcelain tub and sinks -elongated should be your choice unless you have an extremely small space that makes that unworkable -This model is standard height, probably exactly the same height as the potty you're replacing -The lid and seat are soft close and honestly feel cheaper than they should considering the high quality of all other components. These pieces are made of light plastic and can flex a bit when pressed on the porcelain with weight. -The water tank is physically smaller than traditional 2-piece toilets so will expose more of the wall behind the tank. You may need to do some painting and texturizing with more wall exposed. -This model does NOT have Sanagloss so will clean just like the porcelain you're used to. I read many complaints about Sanagloss so steered clear of it. I'm an extremely satisfied customer and if the need arises, I won't hesitate to buy this again. (<-- lol)

Efficient, powerful, and quiet
On the recommendation of my hairdresser and my plumber, I chose a Toto toilet to replace the 30-year-old American Standard one-piece low-profile commode in my guest bathroom. This is a full-size bathroom, not simply a powder room, so I was puzzled by some of the reviews that said this was model was very small and fit only for such a small room. It is not. The tank and base are narrower than what I had, but everything else is normal full size and looks perfect in this bathroom. The flushing action is quick and complete, quiet, and highly water-efficient. The slow drop-down on the seat is what we're used to, so I'm happy it came with that...no slamming. We keep the lids on all toilets shut here at all times to keep our three kitties from imbibing. It was delivered on schedule by appointment and packed in an enormous box filled with blown-in hardened styrofoam to ensure it arrived intact. My only gripe is that unpacking took almost as long as the installation itself. I was relieved that my plumber was able to haul away not only the old toilet, but the whole box and its packing contents. So far, I am 100% satisfied. Have had it for only 24 hours, so if that changes, I will surely update.

Good, But Check Those Measurements
Overall, a very good toilet. The wall it went in front of is finished with marble, which results in a rough-in measurement of about 11". I hunted all around for specs that had at least 1" clearance in the back of the toilet to allow for some "wiggle room." This one did the trick, and was installed without a problem. The only thing that was a surprise and has required some getting used to is how small and low to the ground the toilet is. If you look at the specs, you'll see the seat height is 15" off the ground. If you think that sounds about right, put a ruler on the ground and measure 3" up from that. That's how far down you'll be squatting. On me, the height is well below my knee and I'm not tall. I think a tall or large person might sit down uncomfortably and struggle to get back up. As for performance, it does just fine and flushes fully without issue.

Well made, compact toilet that needs only about 11-1/2" rough-in space from the finished wall.
This is a well-made compact toilet. It did not require the full 12" rough-in space between the finished wall and the closet-bolts on-center; so it might be worth a try if you have only 11-1/4" or so from the finished wall. It flushes well. My only complaint was the packaging: the box was poorly sealed with tape and a flap had come partly open in transit; also the foam inside was adhered to the inside walls of the box, making the toilet more difficult to unbox than other toilets I've bought, and the box itself more difficult to dispose of. The box was left upside down on my doorstep but the toilet was not damaged. I think the UPS driver was trying to do me a favor, putting the halfway-open flap on top so I'd see it had come open.

Inadequate packaging
Let me start off by saying that I never got a working toilet. I'm sure if you can get this in one piece, it's probably very nice. This comes shipped in practically nothing. It is wrapped in 1 layer of cardboard with no padding or anything (kinda like you would see it on the shelf at home depot). I paid extra to get it overnight because my installer was scheduled to come. My first order arrived broken. I requested a replacement which arrived utterly pulverized with the box literally half open and falling apart. I requested another replacement. Amazon then cancelled my order along with a note that says that they are sorry but they wont ship me another one because they are afraid that it will be broken. So here I am 2 weeks and 3 plumber appointments later and I have no toilet. Maybe instead of refusing my order they should go out of there way to "over package" one for me, or maybe even try another courier. I am disappointed in amazon with this one. Update: After some complaining to customer service, amazon agreed to ship me another toilet using another carrier and slower delivery time... This replacement (#3) also came broken with hardly any packaging to speak of. I am told this item is now under review. I will update again when/if there is a development.

Quiet, powerful, quick.
Building a new house, we decided to go with three of these one-piece toilets. My wife and I were looking for "standard height" toilet because "comfort height" to my 5'4" wife is, ironically, at an uncomfortable height. This toilet is very comfortable for me, and I'm 5'11". I'm in good physical shape was able to pick up the toilet and install it by myself easily. You will need to buy a wax ring, as this does not come with one. The toilet flushes everything down, and the flush is so brief and quiet that I'm amazed. Who knew that they could improve upon toilet design so much? The one-piece design means that it won't accumulate junk in that gap that you get between the body and tank of two-piece units. As a bonus, the tank lid attaches with velcro (no more ceramic-on-ceramic grinding when messing with the lid) and the seat is soft-close. Fantastic, and highly recommended!

Buy this one...not the Sanigloss version
I've now purchased two of these toilets. The first model I paid the extra and got the "Sani-gloss" option. That toilet flushes well, but everything sticks to it and it get dirty easily. This toilet stays cleaner and is much easier to clean because traditional cleaning products with bleach can be used. The toilets have received many compliments...something that I think is rare because I've never complimented someone on their toilet...perhaps because they didn't have a TOTO? UPDATE: This toilet has a soft rubber flapper that covers the 3" flush valve in the tank. There have been a few occasions when the toilet is flushed and the flapper will not sit correctly over the flush valve. This causes the toilet to continue to run or have a small leak. The more I read, it's a very common problem with TOTO toilets. The problem can be corrected with a $15 replacement part sold at some of the big home stores. Overall, we are still very happy with this toilet and I have purchased a second one for my parent's bathroom remodel. The style and function fit well with a more modern home.
