Classic Match Foosball for iPad1 - Foosball for iPad2 - Foosball for iPad 3 (1001-01008)

The media could not be loaded. I accidently bought this and then we moved, so I never did get a chance to return it. I wanted to review it because we put it together and took it to a friend’s house because they had an older version of the big iPad. It was actually a blast. Packaging was nice, thick box, parts neatly separated and protected, lastly a useful assembly instruction page. I expected a lot of lag and that the toy wouldn’t be able to keep up, but it did. You don’t get frustrated with it. I loved that while you played it was charging too. In all honesty it makes the Foosball cheaters, not able to sit and spin. Really responsive, very good quality parts. This is a heavy duty toy; the arms are even metal. Stands up to kids playing with it and yanking on it, none of the arms came out or fell off, and they took a beating. I was very surprised, assembly was very easy, took me maybe a couple minutes to figure out. I love it, just wish it would work with the lightening charger. Some of these can work with both, but unfortunately this is not one. I love it and enjoyed it, so if you have the right iPad this is a lot of fun, very worth it! My husband loved this gift! Beware though, that it only accepts older iPads. I have the newer one, and the connection doesn't work. Lucky we also have an older (iPad 2) that works great.

This machine broke after 1 use.. the iPad connector is flimsy and snapped off after i removed the iPad to use with a different controller device that doesn't use a connector. To improve this product, I would make the connection Bluetooth only - similar to the way they iCade works - so that there is no physical connection needed between the iPad and the controller.

It's a nice novelty item, the app/software is very good but the table itself is 'okay'. Without any feedback coming from the handles/bars, it's hard to compare this to an actual Foosball table. We got tired with it the day after xmas.

Performs as describedHowever, there's a noticeable, small lag between twisting or moving the rods and the iPad video game app's response, at least on our iPad 2. This lag makes it difficult to do the high speed ball handling characteristic of foosball. Perhaps you could get used to this, but it makes it a somewhat different game than "real" physical foosball.Note that this model only works for iPad 1-3, with the 30 pin connector. There's another battery powered BluTooth model that works with later iPads. It would be interesting to know if the "lag" problem is reduced or eliminated with this model and the faster iPads.

Bought it as a gift for my brother and he's quite happy with it.

The handles don't align with the iPad screen so we don't play with it.
