This radio does not hold AM reception so it is not for me. I have tried all suggestions to improve reception with no luck. Even FM reception is terrible,.

I bought this item as a backup radio for the bigger and fancier radio I ordered, just in case there were issues with the big radio, and I'm so glad I did! For being a little pocket radio, this little guy is perfect for my intended use! I have already taken it outside and hung it on my garden cart. The sound really carries in my yard so I didn't even have to turn the volume to max! the sound is great and easy to find stations. I then used it in the house while cleaning and it fits right inside my yoga pants pocket. I didn't even have to stretch the antenna all the way up for it to get a clear signal. I love this little radio. And the price is amazing! Couldn't be happier.
