I bought this because my cutlery was sitting on my table and the container I was using just wasn't big enough or portable enough.. this container keeps them clean and easier for arthritic hands to manage..

Despite keeping our counters clean and free of food bits for bugs to snack on, I kept finding bug poo in our old silverware holder. The thought of but poo being near my silverware gave me phobic anxiety, so I tossed it out and got this one which has a handy, hinged type top. Money well spent! This utensil holder is not only larger than my first one and holds more (like my bulky pizza cutter), but the top opens and shuts with a gliding ease without having to pry the top off like tupperware (if you know what I mean). Wish I would've bought this sooner. It's very durable and works great well for keeping the pests out. Highly recommend!

Here is an honest review. It is nearly the same size as my old utensil holder, minus one slot i used for the salad/dessert forks. The unit comes clean, easily washable and most important of all, the lid snaps shut! While its not a true locking mechanism, however, no mouse is ever going to lift that unless you had food stashed inside, so don't do that! This keeps all the critters away be it bugs, roaches, mice, ants etc. Yes, 25 makes it not cheap, but im already considering getting more for travel, it keeps your flatware safe and germ free. I cant speak for the people who claim their lid did not click shut, i can only say mine worked perfect and i am SUPER pleased with this product!

This is the second one I have purchased. On both the lid was mounted wrong, but easy to change. Instructions show the long space is opposite where the lid is hinged, but the item has the lid hinged on the long space side - making that space very difficult to use. gain an easy fix - obvious that the person assembling the unit has not seen the instruction sheet.

Works great. I did have to take the lid off because it was on the wrong side. Was a bit hard to do but it can be done.
