I have gone through two Sirius original antennas but tried this model for my third replacement. Reception has been very good with a few minutes of dropped reception. The signal loss is more of a terrain issue and not the fault of the antenna. Installation is easy with the dock plug-in port and the magnet holds the external piece securely to my car roof. I have two cars and transfer the radio and cables between them depending on travel. The biggest difference I see is the 8 ft. cable is more substantial than the original cables. The docking jack portion has a blue, reinforced collar that should provide longer life. My past two original antenna cables weakened at this point and the wires broke. Since I have been using it for about a week, I am giving it 4-stars for durability. I think this cable will last longer and should prove the durability to be 5-stars. If this occurs, which looks like it will, this cable would be a 5-Star product all the way.

Used to replace the original antenna for the Sirius radio that we'd had since approximately 2008 or 2009. No problem, plunked it on the roof, plugged it into the base, turned on the tunes, and off we went!

I purchased a truck camper that covers the cab of my 2021 Tacoma truck and therefore covers my shark fin satellite radio antenna so I needed to come up with a different solution to attain reception. When this antenna arrived, as others have mentioned the quality of the connecters etc. look really good, but I’m not confident the magnet and 3M tape will hold it on my fender up near my windshield especially at highway speeds. Time will tell. This antenna would not plug directly into my factory stereo with Sirius XM so I had to purchase a very expensive adaptor which finalized the connection. “Satellite Radio Superstore Radio FAKRA Antenna Adapter Connector Sirius XM Radio Factory Antenna Adapter”. I will update in a few months regarding the magnet and 3M tape.

My wife's smart car's Sirius radio (custom installed) lost its connection then mysteriously reconnected numerous times over the past TWO years. Finally, after much testing - always seeming to have fixed the issue - it quit altogether. I thought that I'd be forced to buy another radio assembly as antennas (I thought) were made differently for each radio). But first, I searched on Amazon for a simple satellite radio antenna and this one popped up first! I bought it immediately and installed it. Problem solved...wife happy and no more lost radio audio. I highly recommend this product. The best part about this part is the antenna plugin is made of brass vs the old rubber unit which eventually caused the internal wiring to break.
